Any recommendations for a hotel near Port of Miami that has:

-3 star+ hotel

-free continental breakfast.

-walking distance to a few shops for last minute wine purchase for cruise, etc.

-safe area for walking to the store as we have young kids and won't have a car.

Just need it for 1 full day. TIA

Thanks, those links are great, but only discuss a few hotels and only a couple by POM. Holiday Inn Miami Cruise Port is a contender, however, at $189/night, yikes.

Anyone have any suggestions for the above request, 3 star and max of $150 usd?

Tia

We booked a downtown hotel through Hotwire for our family of four. Ended up with the Intercontinental. The price is variable with the seasons. We ended up at $168 for late December and are excited to be so close to everything.

As we don't know when you are going, 3 star and max of $150 may not be realistic. There are some very expensive peak seasons in the Ft Lauderdale/Miami area.

Hotels in the Blue Lagoon area near MIA may fit your bill - depending upon when you are travelling. Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, Sofitel, etc. There is a local strip mall with dining options plus drug, grocery and liquor stores and lots of fast food nearby.

We are traveling in the next few weeks. Thx

Can you pinpoint the date a little bit? While it isn't quite peak season, we are looking at it and have some very busy weekends coming up in the next few weeks. '

If you want safe, Miami is not the place to try and skimp on a hotel room.
