Suggestions for Skagway after bus/train trip

We'll be in port from 7:00am - 4:00pm. We plan to take the 3.5 hour White Pass bus/train trip at either 7:30 or 8:15. What would be a good way to spend the afternoon? (not interested in zip lining or flight-seeing. It seems like so many excursions are too long to get us back to the ship by 3:30 if we do the bus/train in the morning.

I enjoyed the Goldrush Museum then walked to the Goldrush Museum at the edge of town where the characters are buried. At the edge of the cemetary there's a trail to Lower Reid Falls. (the town bus will drop you nr the cemetary if you don't want to walk). http://www.smart-ak.com/Page_4.html

We opted for the 8:15 bus up train down with Chilkoot...that gave us the afternoon to explore Skagway..shopping & lunch.

We were there last August and took the train to the Canadian border and back. We got back about noon and walked over the the Skagway Fish Company for lunch. Then just wondered around town, ate ice cream, went to the Sarah Palin store (she was born there don'tcha know). Went to a few other stores and just relaxed.
