surfjock27 Posted November 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Just out of curiosity, when did they stop issuing checks under your door the last night for any cash remaining on your S&S account, and how long does it take for the check to arrive in the mail? adferg Posted November 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2014 I'm not sure when they stopped, but if the remaining amount is above $5 they will mail a check within 7 days. If under $5 it will be donated to St. Judes. Your other choice is to go to guest services or a sign and sail kiosk prior to debarkation and get the remaining cash at that time. gadan1 Posted November 16, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) At least a year, if not longer. I know they didn't do checks on my Sept 2013 cruise but they did on my May 2012 cruise. I never had a balance to get a check back for so I can't comment on how long the check takes. But if you do have a balance, you can usually cash it out at the kiosk before the end of the cruise. Also they don't send checks at all if the amount is less than $5. They donate that to St. Jude's on your behalf. bar1068 Posted November 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2014 We did the Breeze TA in November 2012, and got a check in our cabin before we debarked, then sailed the Breeze again in May 2013. That May cruise and a few others we've taken since, we've received checks in the mail, less than 2 weeks after returning home from those sailings. sjcruiser Posted November 16, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2014 It's been at least a year or so. We never had a balance either using credit cards or cash, and we cash out/close out our account after dinner or after hitting the bars or nightclub on the last night. Bases5 Posted November 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 16, 2014 If memory serves me They stoped about the same time they came out with cruise cash.
snc_cam Posted November 16, 2014 #7 Share Posted November 16, 2014 I keep my OBCs just under the Gratuities amount so that they will bill the credit card for another $20 or so. I take the cash out early at the kiosk in front of Guest Services
virginiab Posted November 17, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 17, 2014 I got off the ship last Sunday and received a check on Saturday (6 days later).

pe4all Posted November 17, 2014 #10 Share Posted November 17, 2014 If you bring your id (drivers license) to Guest Services, they will give your left-over cash on the spot.
