Los_Pepes Posted November 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Anyone know of any raucous (yet fun) beer halls that lie within the usual river boat stops on the Rhine?
CPT Trips Posted November 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2014 (edited) Not as yet, but I'll keep looking. I have found several good biergartens. You might have better luck on Trip Advisor. Not many of the suite and butler crowd frequent bier halls and the rest of us here are either early to bed or piano music in the lounge types. :D. :p Edited November 22, 2014 by CPT Trips
Rare Got2Cruise Posted November 22, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2014 There are plenty. Rudesheim especially. No shortage of beer in Germany
Floridiana Posted November 22, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Google Biergarten Koeln. They even provide you with a map. :) Koelsch is famous, never mind that the good people of Dortmund believe that their beer tastes much better. As to singing and 'schunkeln' on the benches, this is an Oktoberfest tradition with such festivities held in many towns, not only in Munich. In the fall, lots of small towns have wine festivals in the streets. The Moselle, Rhine, Main and Danube valleys are wine growing regions. If you want a really raucous time, go to Koeln/Cologne or Duesseldorf during carnival, actually to any town in the central Rhine valley.
