What was the Father's Day special? We leave on the Pride exactly 365 days from today. Will I have issues?

You got an additional card worth 10% of your gift card value free. Example - I bought a $600 gift card and got an additional one for $60.

What issues do you anticipate? The promotional gift card will expire 1 year from date of purchase so you may want to use that one first. It is no different than the one you buy with the exception of the expiration date. The other one doesn't expire.

Well CRUD CRUD CRUD... just bought two $500 cards.... did one and applied it to the balance...no issues so I bought a 2nd.

Got the link... and SECONDS later went to apply it and it is saying the balance is $0... double checked... still zero.... waited 10 minutes... still zero!!!

It says the ecards will activate in 24 hours... mine was activated the next morning

I am assuming your "issue" question is about the expiration date of the bonus gift card?

If your cruise is 11-29-15 and IF you get to the guest services embarkation day and get that gift card applied, you should be OK with the date.

Has the amount shown? I purchased one today and same thing happens. Got email but when check card, amount is 0 as well.

When I bought mine it stated that the balance would not be available for 24 hours. Maybe they changed it to that during your process due to fruad issues.

I purchased 4 / $500 gift cards, in one transaction, this morning and .95 cents for shipping, I wanted plastic cards.

Based on my reading, I'll receive 4 / $100 promo e-cards, paid with Carnival MC, 2 weeks after promo ends.

Hope I'm right!

What a deal!

Offer is for one promotional gift card for every qualifying card purchased and not for total order.

I had to double check to make sure too :) but you should be good to go! I wanted e gift cards since just paying off balance for Feb cruise on 2 cabins so did 5 separate transactions just to make it easy.

Just bought 3 separate 500 gift cards.. Excited to get 150 in additional promotional gift cards. Was a little disappointed though. Just applied and got approved for the Carnival master card but cannot use the line of credit until I get the card to purchase gift card. So I will be ready next time to take full advantage. But 50 back on 500 is like 10% so still really good deal.

Bought enough cards yesterday and today to leave only a $293 balance on our bill. (2 rooms, 1 balcony, 1 inside). I booked ES, so I'm hoping to get some of that back. :D

The best part? I'm getting $400 in bonus money to use on that cruise. Maybe the Gkids can do the dolphin/sea lion excursion after all!!!

Is it easy to apply the e-gift card at the kiosks once on-board? Is it just like adding cash?

I'd like to know this too...would much rather do it myself than wait in line at guest services the first day of a cruise!

Also, if you go ahead and set up your S&S account with a credit card ahead of time but then add the gift cards once you got on board, does it automatically go against the gift card balance before being applied to your credit card?

As is probably obvious, I've never used a gift card on a cruise before!

any monies left over will be put back on this gift card. You make sure you cash out your account the night before-- BEFORE midnight using the casino or the kisok located at gift services

Is there a charge to withdraw $ from the casino?

Thanks!

Not from the slot machines, but they will charge 3% transaction fee if you use your S&S to purchase chips at a table game.

1. Apply the gift cards to your S&S account

2. Put your S&S card in a slot machine and upload cash from your S&S account into your player's bank (you might have to set up a pin# first)

3. Take a spin or two (if you like, but don't lose the $$ you just uploaded)

4. Take your S&S card out of the slot machine & take it to the cashier

5. Ask cashier to withdraw $$ from your player's card in cash.

Yes, it's free if you do it this way!

;)

Does anyone have any input on one type versus the other -

Cruise is already paid in full - but not sailing till late Jan so plenty of time to receive both the card and bonus card.

Just wondering the benefits and or drawbacks to one type versus the other -

thanks a bunch - and especially thanks to the OP as I hadn't noticed this promo.

Getting ready to buy two of them- one to pay off our balance for our April cruise and another for a tentative cruise I plan to book for May. Anyone have experience with using a gift card to pay for a cruise deposit and then cancel it? If so, any problem with the money going back on the gift card?

I wondered if you can book your cruise with the gift cards onboard. I plan to use the ones I got from Fathers Day sale where you got 10%. I know you can use them for online bookings or the 800 number. Anyone have experience using them on the ship for booking your next cruise?

Does anyone know if you get double reward points on your Carnival MasterCard when buying gift cards?

I don't know for certain, but I would expect the answer to be yes. Any purchase made through Carnival with the Carnival Mastercard is supposed to yield double points. I just purchased four $500 cards to help pay for my next cruise, and I'm now looking forward to the $400 on-board cash and double points. Merry Christmas to me!!! lol (even if it's single points, it's still a killer deal!) Thx Carnival.

I understand that the gift card can be posted to your account now, can pay for fare still owing; deposit, if a new booking; and any cost you add to your folio onbosrd including gratuities, drinks, excursions etc.

I believe the secondary, promo card coming in about 2weeks, must be taken onboard and added there to your account. Question...does Splendor have the kiosk I read about where payments may be made, and money can be withdrawn and charged to your onboard account for purchases at a port, tips in cash ex room service and I suppose casino.

I do not like the lines at customer service, and wonder if there is another way to add the promo card early on....want to ensure they use my non refundable OBC before tapping into $ which will be refunded if not used up. Anybody know? Thx.
