I see that you are a sailing on the Escape in March. We are in suite in January and the price has increased $300 per person and we cannot apply AARP so it is almost the same for us.

What type of cabin did you book?

I dumped the suite and went with the mini. Just wasn't worth it to us with the extra cabins being added.

We received the $200 OBC and the UBP. No price increase. It was a good deal.

Just want to clarify .. with a minisuite you choose 2 of the promotions.

No. It is very simply put in the very beginning of the promo page:

* Book any destination in an Oceanview Stateroom or higher and choose one offer.

* Book Europe or Hawaii in an Oceanview Stateroom or higher and choose any two offers.

* Book a Suite or The Haven and get all three offer, valued at up to $2,000!

I just booked it. OV, Balcony, or SPa gets ONE. Minis get 2. Suites get 3.

Really good deal because that shouldn't happen according to the promo T&C unless you booked on an itinerary giving two choices. O_o

Dunno ... I got it though. I just thought it was like that across the board.

That is really, really interesting - good for you anyways. Congrats. :)

I'm also booking couple of minisuites for Jan 2016 on Getaway in the next couple of days - albeit through a TA - we'll see what happens.

I booked a mini (well...was given a mini by CAS & upgraded to an SE), but they only give promos based on the mini....and it was ONE choice.

I was on the phone with them this morning at 9 a.m.

I'm booked.

We booked two H4s on the Breakaway for August 7, 2016 :)

Can't wait! I think the Costco TA told me only 600 more days to go LOL

We got the UBP for passengers 1-2 and UDP for all in the cabin and the $300 OBC. Last year, it was the UBP for all in the cabin, guess

they didn't like that outcome LOL

Sissasmom, I did a search on the cabins I booked and see you had one of them. We booked 16718 and 16720.

We had 16706 in August and there was always a banging noise in the wall very early mornings.

Hope to see Lanie and Adrian again but thinking probably won't happen so far out.

Got the sale. No price increase for us either.

We rebooked today too for the Escape - Aft Penthouse. Slight decrease in cost for us. Nice deal since we were going to do the UDP and UBP anyway and with this promo we get those and save a little $$$ :D.

Surprised - a little - since we booked the second day the Escape bookings were open and prices for the Escape sailings have just gone up...up...up since then. Any promos since we booked would have caused us to lose our OBC - but this one we keep it too!!

Happy to take advantage of the deal - saving a little is an added bonus! ;) :D

We lost our AARP discount too - but I'm ok with that. Even without the AARP discount it's a slight decrease compared to our original rate once you add the UBP and UDP.

Since we were going to do the UBP and UDP anyway it's a good deal all the way around - for us!

I booked a few weeks ago and its $300 more expensive now. I received the 10% OBC when I booked. If we were in the market for the UBP this would actually be slightly cheaper but buddy doesnt drink so its not worth it for us

Same with me for my next two cruises. 10% promo was a good one for us. We get free specialty restaurants for both of being Platinum as well as CAS who gives us 2 or 3 and we get the drink cards from CAS and only one of us is a drinker.....and not much of a drinker at that!

I was excited thinking the fall 2016 Canada/New England dates would finally be available. Lo and behold, nothing, so I called NCL to ask when those departures would be listed, and she said they should already be showing. She can find them on her page, but when she looked on the regular webpage, they're not showing. She was stumped and said maybe they'd show in a week or two? She did offer to make a booking for me, but I want to see dates, prices, etc! I just hope I can still take advantage of this sale when the dates finally show.

i think I got the deal of the century:

11day carribean on Gem for $560 including taxes this past Oct.

that's $100 above their costs. (ncf=280, taxes= 180).

then they gave everyone $100 obc on the 3rd day for canceling tortola port.

so it was at cost.

Kinda like it was a 'free' CAS trip but didnt have to earn it via the coin-in at the casino. :p

We're currently booked in a mini-suite on the Gem next June with $409 in OBC. My NCL rep said we could rebook for $80 more and get:

• free dining package for all three guests

• keep $200 OBC

My reading of the promo indicates we can choose one of these three:

• free dining package

• $200 OBC

• free beverage package

Questions:

Anyone know which scenario is right?

How hard is it to get specialty dining reservations? Some where I read it can sometimes be difficult to get a reservation -- that's what is making me think I'm better of with $409 OBC than free specialty dining. We can spend the money where we want to.

I haven't been able to find the 2016 booking I wanted either. I used the contact form to have them call me since I'm at work and can't sit on hold all day. 6 hours later and I still haven't heard from them. I guess the only consolation I have is if I can't see the booking when I'm logged in, hopefully no one else can either. *sigh*

on the Gem you can buy 3 specialty dinners for $60/person so I view the udp as the least of the 3 offers.

don't know why your TA isn't offering you the ubp as an option?

and from others, mini-suites on some cruises get a choice of 2 out of the 3.

do a mock booking and see what perks show up?

heck, just get a suite and save yourself the headache. :p

I'm on the NCL page, and it looks like it is that way for the minis on all sailings ... the choosing of 2 items.

I'm really confused now. I have a mini suite booked for the breakaway and when I called this morning I had a choice of 1 hmmmmm I need to investigate. I was sure it was one choice for a mini suite
