One very last question....well maybe. Were you kind of resting on the floor near the restrooms in the hallway to the Bookville, and did a kindly lady who looks like me say to the adult with you , "Let me guess.....two years old ?" The adult laughed and said, "Yes !"

The kindly lady, whose age will not be suggested, can't remember if it was a boy or a girl on the floor, but she does remember telling the adult, "LOL, been there, done that. This, too, shall pass."

I think I have one more picture that shows your grandmother in Bookville. When I find it, I will post it in here. It's a small world after all, it's a ......oops, wrong set of icons.

Ta Da, here she is. This is a little blurred, though.

Hmmm, lying on the floor in an inappropriate spot? That DOES sound like me. If I was yelling or flailing about it was DEFINITELY me. I asked my mom about this and she remembers it well! Kicking herself for not recognizing Delta Dear at the time! She would have pawned me off on grandma (I would have INSISTED on a high five first, though) and treated you to a Chocolate Mocha Getaway! Next time! Thanks for sharing the photos. So fun!

Also, mom told me to tell you, "God love you for teaching elementary school for so many years. I'm nominating you for the Nobel Peace Prize! Or at least a ship on a stick!"

Oh, wow. A real missed opportunity. You were being very nice. Your mom was not about to rock the boat, no pun intended, by trying to talk you into anything. Mothering a two year old does make one a little out of it because you know your time of peace and calm is as fragile as an egg shell. I sure would have given you a high five and some orange sherbet to boot.

LOL, thanks. I loved my years; twelve at Kindergarten and PreK, six at First Grade, the rest primarily at 3rd. Dr. Seuss was always a favorite, why else would I be the only one at my table eating those wonderful green eggs?

You are so cute, I'd almost come out of retirement to teach you. Well, on second thought, nobody is quite cute enough for me to give up this retirement!

Have fun on your next cruise and be sure to write another review.

What a great review! Well done, H :)

We're currently on a break from cruising until our LO is old enough. Reviews like these always make me look forward to giving her her first big boat experience. And they remind me why we're waiting until she's old enough to sign up for the kids' club ;)

PS We've been sleep training during the Christmas break. Give your mom and grandma my sympathies!

CORRECTIONS

While I was playing in Camp Ocean one morning, one of the counselors commented that “young children are like sponges” and that “parents are the biggest influence on how kids turn out.” Well damn, lady, my mom’s stressed enough just keeping me alive! You mean she has to be a positive influence AND I’m going to remember all the crap she says to me? Well that has mom all freaked out about a few inaccuracies in the information she provided to include in my review. She’s terribly worried they might someday cause me embarrassment at a dinner party. No mind that I only manage to get every 3rd or so bite of soup and orange sherbert (more about the sherbert later) in my mouth and no one could be seated at our table in the MDR for 8:15 due to it being declared a disaster zone.

So anyway, The Scream was painted by Edvard Munch, NOT Van Gogh, while technically British, she felt it important to clarify that our cruise director, Wee Jimmy, wears a kilt to formal night, and “sherbert” is both spelled and pronounced “sherbet.” Sherbert, sherbet, who cares as long as we don’t call the whole thing off.

I will say this though, if any of your children have mom as their professor, you should ask for a refund.

For your troubles? One of the best desserts mommy had and didn’t share (And she wonders why my second favorite word is “MINE.” She’s the biggest influence on me, after all.), room service chocolate cake!

Also, mom promised you a quiz at the end. A photo of a ship on a stick for anyone who can correctly name two of my favorite foods on the big boat (start with food, end with food -- the way it should be). Here’s a hint:

Hi, I'm 19-months-old and I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your reviews! On Sunday my mom, dad and 9-y-o half-brother are taking me on my first cruise on the Freedom! Your reviews were especially helpful because Dad is a vegetarian. I guarantee you that he'll be having that same burrito every single morning. Also, mom thinks the baggie tip is genius so hopefully she'll remember to pack a lot of those.

Thanks again for the reviews! Too bad we weren't on the same cruise, it sounds like we were MFEO.

High FIVE, O! Have an awesome trip! One last tip, the more and louder you yell the more they stuff your face with cheese and sherbet. And don't forget the raisins from the salad bar. Start practicing those yells! :D

My mom told me to tell you to tell your dad to eat a breakfast burrito (or 8) for her!

Winner, winner, (tofu) chicken dinner! Now, who has a photo of a ship on a stick for Misty? Lord knows my mom isn't smart enough to win one

Hi Nunu. Can you adopt me? This is H's mom (I don't know why I still feel the need to make that distinction, lol). Actually, I almost think a longer trip would be easier. It took H several days to settle into a new routine, but once he did, he was fine and loved it. But then, just a few days later, it was time to get off the ship! Wish we'd had longer.

My advice would be to establish a strict schedule, especially regarding naps, and really stick to it. Also, don't panic the first few days if H is struggling. Just be prepared for a transition period and reserve some extra patience for those first few days. Other than that, just go with the flow and enjoy each other. It's definitely different, and sometimes challenging, to travel with a toddler, but it's so fun to experience it through their curious, excited little eyes -- everything will be new to him. You'll have a blast and I hope you'll come back and post some photos! Have fun!!! :D

As you're planning, let me know if you have any questions about anything!

Thanks H's Mom... :) I really do appreciate all the input... And will for sure come back with questions should anymore arise... ;)

Our H is a pretty cool little fella too... So other than sleeping, I think he will do fine... He likes HIS BED and HIS BLACK-OUT CURTAINS in HIS ROOM!!! LOL But we will make do, and your so right... Scheduling is the most important factor... ;)

H was supposed to post a photo of his "special bed" so other parents could see how this was set up. He says he "accidentally" left it out. Anyway, here's a photo. It cost about $20 total for the magnetic hooks (I just searched for "magnetic hooks" on amazon and bought the cheapest ones) and shower certain. It would have been much, much harder to share a room without this.
