We just booked our second princess cruise. The princess website mentions "members only onboard events" as a gold member benefit. What type of onboard events might I expect on a cruise to the Caribbean on the Royal?

Most likely a Captain's Circle presentation, probably in the theater where you will hear a talk about what other Princess cruises you can book as well as an explanation of the Future Cruise Deposit program. You will most likely receive a voucher for a free drink at a bar. That's it.

Sometimes, waiters come around with pre-mixed drinks (light on alcohol), other times, you get a coupon for a drink in any bar. If they are bringing pre-mixed drinks, you can request something else. We usually get a glass of wine. It may be cheap stuff, but it is not watered down cheap stuff. :)
