califgary Posted January 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2015 Hi we just crossed over to Elite and Im looking at the perks - what is involved in the Coffee House menu? I see coffees etc and im assuming danish type treats - what other breakfast items can you get? Is this a good substitute for eggs etc at buffet? Any info appreciated - thanks
WestLakeGirl Posted January 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) It's almost always continental breakfast, cold meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt, smoothies, pastries, salmon/onion/capers/tomatoes. Once Ina blue moon there have been reports of a hot dish, a quiche or egg casserole but those reports are few and far between and we have never had that, we have only had the continental breakfast You can get mimosas and Bloody Mary and cappuccino and espresso ther too Edited January 10, 2015 by WestLakeGirl

The Celebrity site talks about espresso being available at no charge...but not sure about cappuccinos. We usually eat b'fast in Blu, and have yogurt, meat/cheese plate, and smoked salmon - so this sounds like a good option for us (tho I do like an eg gin the morning!). Not doing the beverage pkg on this cruise, otherwise I would get coffee at the coffee shop. Thx

Northern Aurora Posted January 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2015 ...... Once Ina blue moon there have been reports of a hot dish, a quiche or egg casserole but those reports are few and far between and we have never had that, we have only had the continental breakfast ..... Years ago, at least on some ships, there would be one hot offering such as quiche or french toast. The last time I remember such a hot dish was on a Mercury cruise, and the Mercury left the fleet in the spring of 2011.
TeaBag Posted January 10, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 10, 2015 You don't have to substitute eggs. You go to the buffet, enjoy your eggs and then off down to the Elite breakfast to finish off with almond croissants ot salmon and a "bagel" and cappuccinos. Works for us! Mapleleaf5 Posted January 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) My upcoming cruise is my 1st cruise being Elite. Is the Elite breakfast held in main dining room? Thanks, Joanne Edited January 11, 2015 by Mapleleaf5
TN Vol Fan Posted January 11, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 11, 2015 No, usually the Elite breakfast is held in a specialty restaurant. On the Reflection it was in the Tuscan Grill- very nice view of the wake of the ship. There is a menu of several plated options and one of a combination of all options. You can order as many as you wish and even share plates. It's a great way to have a served breakfast with coffees and drinks. Lovely!
CaribbeanBound Posted January 11, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 11, 2015 The mango smoothies (also no extra cost for Elite in Tuscan Grill breakfast) are really good.
