Cruise Director for Vista

Hey, this may have already been said, but I couldn't find it...Is John Heald going to be the cruise director on all of the med sailings? Or just the first few? I was hoping he would still be CD for October sailings

Last night on FB he indicated he would be on as many sailings as possible. I really hope he is on ours. We have been waiting to sail with him!

I am sure he will start, but if past history is a clue, he will not be on all.

On an interview with cruise radio, he said that he didn't know if he would be cd or not. He said it is a ysing persons game now and he is old. He said he would def be in the ship but didnt know as cd. I am thinkng he may be the entertaiment director and one of the young guns cd. Maybe Jamie d. Or matt. I believe i saw pics of matt at the reveal.

Interesting. Matt was the only CD I saw ( there were a couple of young asst CD's there as well - one was a British kid who is an asst Cd on the Magic and others). There is no doubt some prestige tied to this which would make Matt the odds on fav but I am sure Jamie is highly thought of as well.

Would be nice to meet him John Heald...I remember Jorge Solano, he was probably my favorite...I was fortunate to get him on two sailings.

We are on one of the earlier sailing - end of May - who knows, maybe he will be aboard for our trip!

Matt was at the reveal. I think I heard someone at the VIP Party say that JH was going to be in Alaska (again) next summer. I definitely heard him say he was going to do the TA cruise though.

They could do a lot worse than get Butch Begovich out of his admin duties and onto the Vista as CD.

Butch and John were both on the inaugural of the Breeze. I think the regular CD will be there with John and then continue on after John leaves.

We had done the TA on the Dream, which had a similar itinerary. John Heald boarded the ship when we reached Bermuda. He sailed to New York for the festivities, through some rough seas---hope we have a smoother sailing this time!

We have sailed in Europe 2 times and both times John Heald was our CD with Calvin as his assistant. I wouldn't mind at all having someone new for our June 11 Vista sailing.

Yup, he was there in his capacity as a newly branded beard. He was moved over to Miramar after completing his graduate work. We had a fun chat about his new job. He is in charge of overseeing entertainment on eight of the Fun Ships.

Matt told me last week that he would be the CD and would be joining the ship sometime in Jan or Feb right around the time of the Sea Trials. But we all know this is subject to change.

We just sailed the breeze, January 25th, and we loved Matt!! Not too bad on the eyes either! ;) They had a Q and A session with Matt and John Heald....and it seemed very set that Matt would be the CD for the Vista.

Asked John Heald today (2/20/15) if he would be the CD for our Vista Sep 13, 2016 Med cruise. His response was "I will be aboard in some capacity if not the CD."
