Can you still order it in the MDR for an extra charge?

Yes, you can, but to me, it didn't taste as good as getting it in Chops. I don't know why, whether it was a difference in cooking or merely the ambience that was the key factor in my lack of enjoyment of it in the main dining room.

I read that YES you can order a CHOPS Filet in MDR for like $14.95.

Or maybe it's that sometimes you're just in the mood for a delicious steak . . . and other times, you're just not so fussy. Like right now I'm sitting here munching on a peanut butter and sprout sandwich, and I'm perfectly satisfied. But tomorrow, on Saturday night, well, that's grill night! I'll expect my husband to place something delightful on my plate!

You're right that the ambiance is not the same as in Chops, but if you're the only one hankering for a good steak and everyone else just eats the menu items you save a ton of $$$. I think it's nice that RCI allows you so many choices.

No, you can order off the menu that I posted above. Twice.

Thanx everyone sometimes I don't like whats on the regular menu and don't want to take the time to dine at Chops. So this is my go to item.
