I'm not a high roller by any means, but I just received a Casino Pack and Go offer that covers a multitude of sailings between now and the end of June. $25. inside cabins on short cruises, $50 inside cabins on longer cruises, plus up to a $100 OBC per cabin. Of course you can upgrade to an OV or balcony for a little bit more. Patti & I will be back on the Splendor from NYC 6/29 in a balcony for $130pp plus taxes & port fees. Fingers crossed that many of you get the same offer!!!

Checked this morning out of boredom to see offers and lo and behold: I'm doing the B2B on 5/24 and 6/1, Splendor from NY/San Juan and back. Got a balcony on Deck 8, same cabin for both cruises.....$840 total for 2 cruises including insurance and a $100 onboard credit for each cruise. That's about $50 bucks a day! And....I'm a solo cruiser! I'm thrilled......Had I done the interior, it would have been $431 for 16 days plus the onboard credit!

I have a hard time believing these offers are completely random. There has to be some kind of algorithm. I assume gambling helps but perhaps other things factor in. Maybe how often you cruise? Maybe how often you are visiting the Carnival website and looking at upcoming dates and rates? There is no way it is just random. That makes it into more of a contest.

It's completely random as long as you're registered with Ocean Players Club. Doesn't matter if you bet $5 a hand or $500 a hand, one hour a day or 10 hours a day.

Is this something you know for a fact? I see people post that it has to do with how much and/or how often you gamble and they state it as fact. Then I see this, that it is random, stated as fact. Then I see someone say that it is a company secret, stated as fact. Who knows what to believe! We got the offer and will be on the Dream for a 7 day Western Caribbean for a grand total of $420 (plus $100 OBC) in a large balcony room. However it works, I am thrilled and incredibly thankful!

Yes, I know for a fact and from very reliable sources. One source is me, who has spent A LOT of time and money in carnivals casinos and have yet to get one of these offers. ZERO, zilch, nada, nothing to do with your gambling habits.

Thanks for your reply. I will take your word for it about your sources but you are not a source yourself. We all think we spend tons of time and money in the casino but how you spend your money is probably more important than how much. People who play slots are the ones casinos want more than those who play table games. This is because the odds at slots are much worse than those at table games. Casinos would probably prefer someone come in with $100 and sit at a slot machine than someone come in with $500 and sit at a table. The odds are much better to take that $100 on the slots. One thing I have noticed is that a lot of people who claim they never receive casino offers seem to play tables. May be something to consider. If it is random then I really hope you get an offer soon, you sound like you are due!

My other sources work for Ocean Players Club. I don't think I spend and play a lot, I know I do. Down over 20k the past year on carnival. I Don't need these offers because my Premier offers are MUCH better ($1000 cash and free balcony stateroom is my latest offer). I'm just informing others that are wondering why they never get this offer that it has nothing to do with how much time or money you spend in the casino. Completely, 100% luck of the draw.

I got nothin! The last time they did the free cabin last year, I got that one and I'm not a casino player at all. And that time we couldn't go cause none of the free cruises we liked could be fit in our schedule.

Gamble. Which is why I will never get one. It obviously doesn't matter to Carnival that you blow money on all kinds of other things onboard.

Because with almost everything else you purchase on board, you get something in return for it. Photos, gifts, buzzed/drunk, no longer hungry, etc.

Right. So you're saying you get nothing out of gambling? Well that's why I typically don't do it. Too much in, not enough coming back out. ;)Still it would be nice if they recognized people for reasons other than spending in the casino or not sailing with them for a while. I mean while they're passing out great offers and all. My opinion.

Land based casinos r the same way, big profit center.

My PVP, who seems to have adopted me, haha, called me last night about this offer and I booked a 7 Nighter Extended Balcony out of Baltimore on the Carnival Pride. $120 pp + taxes & port fees. Also, $50 pp onboard credit ($100 total)

Dumb question, but how would they know? I haven't gambled on the boat, so have no knowledge

How much crappin' money do you have to spend in the casino to get these offers???? Lol

For what it's worth I have been told twice by two different people at the players club, that if you lose $1500.00 during a seven night cruise you quality for a free cruise and drinks on us cards.

I received three free cruises over the summer. My wife and I always play BlackJack together on the same table. We usually lose around $1500.00 to $2000.00 per trip on a seven night cruise. We always buy in and cash out on one players card to get the maximum rating. We also make a point of always buying in for $500.00 to get the attention of the pit critters. I know $500.00 isn't a whole lot but that seems to be the point where they notice you.

Having said all of that on our last cruise we actually won a little over $1500.00 and did not receive any kind of an offer. I just booked a cruise for April and emailed casino@carnival.com and as luck would have it they gave us $250.00 in casino cash and one drinks on us card. So it doesn't hurt to ask, all they can say is no.

These have been my experiences and your mileage may very. As the old saying goes don't play for comps. Play at a level you are comfortable at and don't be afraid to ask for something. When I gamble I like to drink. I don't get sloppy drunk but I can easily pound ten beers during a four hour BlackJack session. I make it clear I want that drinks on us card and usually by the second night I will get one or at least a couple of comped drinks from the casino host.

Anyway sorry for the long response but I do love gambling while on a Carnival cruise so I tend to get long winded.
