Allure Dog House on boarding day

Does anyone know what time the Dog House opens? I was wondering if this is an option for lunch the first day.

It is open for lunch on embarkation day. Not sure about the time though.

Yes.. We're on the Allure right now. It opened at 11:30 I think! You can see it in the upper right of the pic :)

On day 1, the dog house is opened from 11:30 to 6. Here is the scan of the day 1 lunch places if you want to think about your lunch options ahead of time.

On the Allure this past Nov. I could not pass the place without getting something to eat, best place on the ship to get a tasty snack.

I was also thinking about this for our first lunch, will it be crowded? I hate WJ on embarkation. Most people just chair hog with their bags until they can get in the room!

It will likely be less crowded than Windjammer.

I totally agree to avoid Windjammers on embarkation day!!!

On the Oasis last year, we ate lunch at Giovannis. Quiet, delicious, had a glass of wine ! Best embarkation lunch ever !! Afterwards we went up to the Windjammer to use the freestyle coke machine. There were about 30 people in line waiting to get in. It was hot up there. People were sweating. They were grumpy ! :eek: My husband said he sure was glad we had eaten at Giovannis !!!!!
