Lunch on embarkation day :confused:...Not sure that's even ever offered.

I believe they have discontinued advanced reservations for lunch in specialty restaurants.

I hope that's not true. We had lunch at Giovannis on the Oasis last year on embarkation day. So wonderful, so relaxing ! Best embarkation lunch we've ever had !! We were planning on doing the same on the Allure this summer !

You should still be able to have lunch in Giovanni's on boarding day, but I thought I read that advance reservations were not possible.

Do you go straight to the restaurant without reservations and just luck of the draw if they have availability? I guess we'll see what happens!

We've been able to walk in without reservations.

Depends on the ship also, not all of them offer lunch on Embarkation Day...

While on Indy last October, Giovanni's was closed for lunch on embarkation as I also wanted to have lunch there as I had did in the past on the Oasis. So maybe they have stopped offering it. Too bad, they should bring it back as it was a great way to start the cruise.
