Andy Need Help

Hi Andy

We sent a e-mail to Laura at Cruise Critic about being able to store descriptions of cruise critic member private tours with sign ups , CC members extra activities aboard ship with sign ups ,ie .We have yet to get a response & it has been awhile

If CC has such a web tool to list the subjects above it would save a great deal of space on the normal roll calls .

Thus ,my questions are :

.does such a CC web site exist ?

.if that web site exists ,how do we use it to store our information ?

TIA

Cliff

You asked this same question on Feb 14 2015 and it was answered by Curtis.

Here is the answer again in case the other link Curtis provided did not work for you;

The BETA Roll Call link you are asking for is located at the top of this page in the Announcement section.

Yes I went there but do not understand how we can use this for our purposes .

How do we add info on to the web page & what is the link we can place on a roll call message board which relates to that information

If it were that easy to use we would not be asking Andy for help.

We once used a web site that allows (shuterfly.com ) to add information & keep a sign up list with a link that can be clicked on ;however ,there is advertising on that web site that CC rules does not want posted

We can only hope that Andy can help us out otherwise we are stuck repeating long posts on the regular roll call .We have a cruise on April 11 2016 & that is a long way away .long posts don't give too much room left for people to post msgs .This is why we need help from CC

Try this link. I accessed this through a hyperlink labeled Roll Call tool in Laura's 1st post.

http://www.cruisecritic.com/rollcalls/

When you get there use the pull down menus to select cruiseline, ship and date for your cruise. It looks like a really neat tool to get organized for your cruise.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but our HUGE Crown Princess roll call (over 165000 views) had a very extensive Shutterfly page that was heavily publicized on the roll call with no complaints from CC. It included a list of all roll call members, extensive port and private tour information, schedules for many onboard roll call activities, etc. It was set up and maintained by one very talented and dedicated person and she was easily the most popular person onboard. Rules at the top of roll pages say that Facebook pages may not be publicized, but do not mention Shutterfly. You never see any advertising when you link to the page, so not sure why you'd think it would be a problem. Here's a link to our page if you want to take a look at it:

Thanks for trying;) . That web page is a reworking of the roll call . We can't see how we might store a tour discriptionon that web site & the sign ups & that we can continually update; as new folks come on board & wish to be added to the tour .

Thanks for your post;)

We have a friend who is like Andy ;but ,monitors other boards for CC .she had informed me via a phone chat some time ago that CC felt that Shutterfly had advertising not appealing to CC rules . However ,she did tell me that CC was working to supply a web page which essentially worked like shutterfly .This is why I was hesitant to use shiutterfly .If Andy does not think it a problem then we will use shuuterfly to store our lisitngs for tours & other activities & the relative cruise critic members who sign up .

The new HUB pages allow for input from members in the Events section.

First, locate the individual roll call for your sailing by utilizing our TOOL here:

http://www.cruisecritic.com/rollcalls

If you are logged in you'll notice a button at the bottom section of the page called Add Events

Click that button, and you will be able to add pre-cruise events, on board events and shorex info!

It's easy to use, and you'll be able to link to your HUB page just as you would with any other site.

We went into the new web site .The problem is the limitation of characters .1000 is insufficient to describe our tours & on board activities

Please advise Laura that the content space needs to be expanded way beyond 1000 characters

For the present we are listing the events on the roll call

Thanks
