Trying hard to understand when flying DL and using my DL Amex where I can get one piece of luggage per person free...that everyone that flys international gets the one piece free...so why don't I get my second bag free...Help me to understand this :confused:

Because the benefit is not "one bag free" but rather "first bag free".

Which means that it is a duplication of the standard international allowance, not a supplement.

So my "first bag free" that perk does me no good on an international flight because everyone gets it. :(

True. It's a good bennie if you travel domestically, especially if you have family traveling with you on the same PNR (up to 9 family members get the fee waived). But, you also get your "Zone 1" boarding on any flight (which is actually the 3rd group to board), which gives you a better chance of being able to stow that 21" roller carryon in the overhead ;-)

Yes that perk has come in handy traveling with family many times.

Yes I'll at least get my "Zone 1" not only for this reason but also we're

booked in E Comfort (such as it is) on DL ;).
