CruisingGAL82 Posted February 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Can anyone suggest luggage tags to fit the tags for the ship? Or do you just tape them on? I guess we should put them on after we get off our flight and arrive at the port.?
Clarea Posted February 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2015 (edited) Can anyone suggest luggage tags to fit the tags for the ship? Or do you just tape them on? I guess we should put them on after we get off our flight and arrive at the port.? I always attach the tags after our flights. I'm afraid either the tags will be ripped off, or the cruise line tags will confuse the airline people and my bags will go to Fiji. We use these luggage tag holders: http://www.amazon.com/Cruise-Luggage-Holders-Caribbean-Celebrity/dp/B00M5MDAS0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424721130&sr=8-1&keywords=luggage+tag+holders Edited February 23, 2015 by clarea

I haven't seen these before. I laminate the paper tags, but these are so much better. DH is always afraid that the staples won't hold.
Royal Caribbean International Posted February 23, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Can anyone suggest luggage tags to fit the tags for the ship? Or do you just tape them on? I guess we should put them on after we get off our flight and arrive at the port.? Hi there! Thanks for your question. We recommend folding along the lines indicated on the paper for your luggage tag. That way, they're as sturdy as any other tag!

nyc12345 Posted February 23, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 23, 2015 I use these for the cruise luggage tags and they work very well: Royal/Celebrity: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...g=cruisetag-20 Carnival/Princess/Holland: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...g=cruisetag-20 Here's another item that might be helpful: Shower caddy: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...g=cruisetag-

The shower caddy folds up quite small in your luggage. Sue
payitforward Posted February 28, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) I just ordered sticker paper to print them on so they're the same as the ones Royal Caribbean used to send out. Also, if you put them on before your flight, the airline will most likely take them off. Edited February 28, 2015 by payitforward

Rare mcatmcat Posted February 28, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 28, 2015 I made mine similar to the ones in this video. For some reason I also prefer to make mine with tape :-)rather than buying the luggage tags online
impatientlywaiting Posted February 28, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 28, 2015 We bought the ones from Amazon and used them on our last cruise. Not only did they work great for when we boarded the ship but when we left the ship we put the colored debarkation stickers into the luggage tag holders. We'll be able to use them over and over and over again! :D
Toddcan Posted February 28, 2015 #14 Share Posted February 28, 2015 I'm probably in the minority here, but I make a big deal about luggage tags. Everything about cruising is still exciting to me, having only sailed 6 times before. So, when the cruise documents are ready, and I can print out the luggage tags, it's one of those milestones on the way to my cruise! I still get excited about that day - seeing them come off my printer. In all case, I fold/cut the tags so that they are the "proper" size. I used to take wide clear tape (wider than the tags), and simply tape front and back, letting some of the tape at the edges make the seal - and trim to size. Then I jumped to using a laminator. This year, we bought the Cruise Critic luggage tag holders.
