WildBlueYonder64 Posted February 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2015 While they don't formally offer any type of religious services, if there is a priest or other clergy member onboard and they want to conduct a service, the ship will accommodate them. We have attended mass on both Carnival and Royal, but that was the exception, rather than the rule.

Captain Carnival Posted February 25, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Sorry - no Mass on board but stop by and say hello when you're at the port.
Boozebabe Posted February 26, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 26, 2015 Will you be on an island on Sunday? I'm sure you wouldn't have a hard time finding a Catholic church on an island. I think that would be a really nice experience. Or what about a port stop on Saturday?

nybumpkin Posted February 27, 2015 #11 Share Posted February 27, 2015 Will you be on an island on Sunday? I'm sure you wouldn't have a hard time finding a Catholic church on an island. I think that would be a really nice experience. Or what about a port stop on Saturday? We were in Nassau on a Sunday. We decided to go to Mass at the Catholic cathedral, which is a short walk from the port. For DH and me, it was a wonderful experience - but our sons were mortified. Mass on vacation? And this wasn't your 45 minute American Catholic Mass - this was a full 1 1/2 hours, with lots of singing. Six years later, I don't think they've forgiven us.:p We have had Mass aboard two Carnival cruises, both when priests were booked as passengers and offered to say Mass during the cruise. Rare rafinmd Posted February 27, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 27, 2015 The lines I know of that usually have a priest are Crystal, Cunard and HAL. On all 3 Mass is said daily. Each also has some provision for us Protestants: Crystal: The priest conducts an interdenominational Sunday service. Cunard: The Captain conducts an interdenominational service on Sundays at sea. HAL carries a protestant chaplain on cruises over 14 days. For the Pride, there are nearby churches in both Tampa and Baltimore. Not consistent with FTTF but definitely doable.
