Ultimate Beverage Package question

Yes must of the fancy foo foo drinks are included. We had the package in September on the Getaway and were never denied anything we asked for. We drank a wide assortment and everything was included.

The only thing I have heard of not being included is some of the pricier wines and really top shelf liquor.

We were on the Epic last week. You really have to make a serious effort to find something that isn't included on the UBP. Only the super high end whisky, tequila, and wine brands are excluded. They do promote Grey Goose VX vodka in the dailies but that one isn't included in the UBP. Regular Grey Goose is included though. All frozen drinks and martinis on the menu fall below the $11 max for the UBP.

Thanks for asking this! I personally love blended Margaritas and was wondering about some drinks.

My FH and I have the Ultimate Beverage Package for free (we had contemplated buying it before our travel agent got us it), but now we're excited to not worry about ordering drinks now.

Yes! Everything is pretty much included except for restaurant specials and the drink of the day.

Wrong!

These are both included provided a) they are under $11 and b) they're not in a souvenir glass (you can request this).

Im travelling on the Epic soon and have pre paid the drinks package. On the website there isnt much info on whats include d. Would champagne / champagne cocktails be included if the price is under 11 dollars ( I believe from cc thats the limit ) Does anyone have a bar/ drinks list .?? Thanks.

Any drink over the $11 , we were billed just for the overage Example, I ordered a BBC Price $10 plus 18% brought price to 11.80 so charged only $0.80. Also went over when I ordered Bloody Mary as they used Grey Goose though I did not ask for it ,so watch for that

I was under the impression they billed you 18% gratuity no matter the costs of drink...example, if drink was $6, you would see the 18% of $1.08 on your account. Is that correct? Also, I think they add the VAT to your account if it applies. Can someone verify this?

Thx,

Shirley

That cannot be correct. The price of drinks included in UBP is $11 (previously $10) BEFORE gratuity. If it's the gratuity that makes it go over, you still do not have to pay anything, because gratuity was paid already with the package (or included if you got it as a promo). Either the base price of your drink was higher than $11, or else you were mischarged. I've had UBP twice, and this is how it works. This is also what is stated in the terms, and what is reported by every single other person who has ever used it on this forum.

There doesn't need to be much info, because it is a no-brainer. Anything $11 and under is included, regardless of type of alcoholic beverage. That will be about 99.9% of what you will find, or what you can imagine. Don't try to complicate it. So yes, if the champagne cocktail is $11 or under it is included. You can list as many different types of alcohol as you want, and the answer will be the same.

(Now someone will say, "but what if my Crown Royal is $9.50? Is Crown included?" and the answer will be yes. It's not hard.)

Regarding the above .....because gratuity was paid already with the package (or included if you got it as a promo). Either the base price of your drink was higher than $11, or else you were mischarged. I've had UBP twice, and this is how it works......just because it was included with package, or promo, or "this is how it works", really right now doesn't mean anything. Several of the other major changes of late were "included, or how it worked"...WHEN WE BOOKED...however that doesn't mean by the time we get onboard this will be the case. (Especially the gratuities included part).

NCL may well spring a change on this policy as well.

Does everything have to go back to increased fees? Why don't we stop speculating and see how it all shakes out? SMH...I think I need a CCbreak, it's just not much fun anymore with all of the negativity and in some instances downright nastiness out there.

I understand how the Ultimate Beverage Package works with the drinks themselves but how do the 18% gratuities work? Are they included in the beverage package so you pay zero when you order a drink less than $11.00 or is the gratuity a separate charge on the slip when you sign for the drink so you are charged that amount in your account.

Yes! Everything is pretty much included except for restaurant specials and the drink of the day.

I was told by my cruise specialist at Norwegian this morning that the drink of the day was included, as long as it was under $10.

DH is happy that even Glenfiddich scotch is included, along with liqueurs.

When you sign the drink slip, both the drink price and the gratuity will appear on the slip. Both will be zeroed off your account at the end of the day. Gratuities are included in the package if you received it as a promo. If purchased, gratuities are paid at the time of purchase, so the slip signing works the same regardless. The entire total is zeroed off as long as the base price of the drink is $11 or less.

11 Dollar Retail Price so it tips up to 13 dollars you are okay.

The only things I came across that were not included were the high end wines, Johnny Walker Blue, and Grey Goose OX.

However, if you are a Johnny Walker Blue fan you get 11 dollars of credit for the beverage you you pay out of pocket the remainder. I drank mostly Don Julio, Bullet Bourbon, Makers Mark, and Glenfidich for a week.
