Cruiseboy06 Posted September 14, 2015 #51 Share Posted September 14, 2015 Look on the Port of Honolulu cruise ship calendar. It might be on it. Thanks, but it clearly states 2016 calendar not 2017

joepeka Posted September 16, 2015 #53 Share Posted September 16, 2015 We'll see how the leak in the locks affects this opening date. The article I read said that the Canal Authority doesn't expect, based on preliminary info, that this will delay the April 2016 opening. But neither they nor the primary contractor has had much to say lately and the photos I saw don't look good. So yeah, I guess we'll see. :(

chengkp75 Posted November 17, 2015 #56 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Does this timeline take into account the cracking in the Atlantic locks and the reinforcement and grouting required. I would think that is going to be a major setback.
joepeka Posted November 20, 2015 #57 Share Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) Does this timeline take into account the cracking in the Atlantic locks and the reinforcement and grouting required. I would think that is going to be a major setback. I'm not sure the person posting those monthly updates has much (if any) more info than the rest of us. In fact, I'm guessing you're more in tune with the true status of the project (and the leaks) than anyone else here. Your 2017 estimate (from a separate thread) is probably pretty accurate. ;) Edited November 20, 2015 by joepeka
