You get specialty coffees with the ultimate package along with fresh squeezed OJ and sparkling water. The alcohol options are the same for both packages.

What is available with the drink packages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options)? Also, what do you get (if anything) that you'd have to carry around with you to use the package? I understand that they put a sticker on your ship card but is there anything else you need to have with you? I've heard RCI has special self-serve soda machines. How do they work and are they part of the packages? What's the difference between the Primium and Unlimited Packages (other than price obviously)? I'm planning a cruise with my BF next year on the Freedom and we're going to buy a package, just trying to decide which one.

Unless you want soda from the Freestyle (self-serve) machines, you only need your SeaPass card. You need the special cup to use the Freestyle machines.

If you want Specialty coffees, Fresh squeezed OJ, and sparkling water you might want the ultimate package. If not then the premium package is perfect for all alcohol and soda.

Yes, all the unlimited beverages packages include soda and a special cup for the Freestyle machine. However, only around 8 ships include Freestyle machines.

With the Premium package it includes drinks up to what price? It seems like I had heard at one point a price point you could go up to and then after that you had to pay the difference. Plus now I'm hearing the price of drinks have gone up so I'm worried about always having to supplement a difference on every drink I order.

Cocktails and glasses of wine up to $12. Anything over, you pay the difference. The $12 is the price before gratuity.

Darn. With some of these prices I've been hearing about it sounds like even with the premium package we could still be looking at paying extra just for a pinacolada. :eek:

No, you will not pay extra. $12 now appears to be the standard price for cocktails so you'll be fine

Cocktails seem to be mostly $10 or $12 before gratuity according to recent cruisers, so the majority would be included. You might have to pay the difference if you like premium wines, as a lot seem to be iver the $12.

Restaurants and Cafe Promenade or Cafe Latte-Tudes depending on the ship. Coffees will be things like cappucino, espresso, latte, etc.

$14 on some recent cruises out of Australia but the drinks packages covered all drinks, we never had to pay eny extra.
