Airport transfer in Venice

Are there taxis waiting at the port the morning of disembarkation? We are getting off around 7am. If not can anyone recommend a private transfer service?

if you have an early flight I would recommend arranging a car to pick you up. cannot remember name of company we use (romeinlimo maybe) but arranged online

Rome in Limo doesn't operate in Venice.

we also did this before the people mover was operational...so you can use this to the Piazza Roma and take a cab or bus from there

when we disembarked there were quite a few cabs at the pier, but they seemed to be reserved.

 

There are always cabs at Piazzale Roma; if you can easily manage your luggage, walk to the People Mover for a 2-3 minute ride to P Roma. At PRoma you can either catch a cab (40E) or the ATVO express bus (7E pp). Either way is a 20 minute ride.

 

If your flight is before 10am, reserve a car.

Can anyone recommend a car service? Due to a traveling companion's mobility issue I'm going to need transportation from the port to the Mestre train station. Doing the bag drag to P. Roma to catch the train isn't an option this trip.

Hi we are looking for transportation from the San Basilo pier to the Marco Polo Airport we have looked at Shuttle direct any one use them and/ or know if they are good???

 

Any information would help. As it does not look like we could do the people mover to Piazza Roma from this pier very easily.

Just to let you all know, there are taxis at the pier when you disembark in Venice. There are not a lot waiting like in Ft. Lauderdale port but there were about 5 when we disembarked at 7:00am. We got right in and were at the airport in about 15-20 minutes. It was a flat fee of either 40 or 45 euro.

Good to know thanks. Last time we took the ships transfer which was around $45 each I think.
