sassy~one Posted April 21, 2015 Author #2 Share Posted April 21, 2015 passengers on a cruise ship are stuck out at sea for possibly another two days as the Port Authority of NSW has closed several harbours for commercial shipping There are 2500 passengers – 800 of them children – and 1500 crew on the ship and we have been bobbing around on 10-metre waves all day and we will be here for another two days. The staff are telling us there is enough food and water and nothing is being rationed. There seems to be enough to go around.

geocruiser Posted April 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2015 I not a regular poster on this board, but I just saw it on the news. I want to wish all on board, PAX, crew & staff. the best and hope they can make it to safe harbor soon. Prayers being sent their way and for those at home worrying about them. SadieN Posted April 21, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 21, 2015 Ships normally carry an extra week or two of food. First things to run out/spoil will be lettuce and bananas.
Lakesrider Posted April 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) Wondering why the Spirit is not listed on Carnivals website under "Ships"? Edited April 21, 2015 by Lakesrider
Velvetwater Posted April 21, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) Wondering why the Spirit is not listed on Carnivals website under "Ships"? Because shes permanently in Aus. All her stuff is on the Aus website. Awful news, hope everyone is ok and not too tearful. We almost booked her last summer for her summer Singapore voyage in a few months (which may be cancelled now who knows). I wonder if her damage will mean an earlier dry dock?
