My review was from the 2nd leg of the repo in November 2013. I'm sailing her again on 5/31 and will write a review when I return.

 

Mine may not be as "entertaining" as some, but I try to be objective and thorough. This will be my 22nd Carnival cruise, so I don't do a lot of ship photos or food porn any more. And I don't "do" a lot of ship activities (I use sea days to rest, read, relax (and gamble)). I put more time into reviewing the ports/excursions (since that's mostly why I cruise).

 

Anyway, there's plenty of stuff out there.

I'd really like to see one too! It seems like all I see on here is "I just got off such and such a ship.... ask away". And then they never come back to answer most of the questions!

DH and I did a B2B in mid February, our first time on the Conquest. We loved this ship! Cruise director Mike Pack is high energy and very entertaining. His nightly music trivia in the atrium bar is not to be missed. The live music was the best we have experienced in most of our 10 cruises. Band #SixAppeal was a lot of fun and we felt like friends after enjoying their themed shows over 14 days. Woodstock, British Invasion, Motown, etc. The food was plentiful and good. MDR service was hit and miss, but the level of service we expect is quite high due to Bogdan and Nik, our most favorite severs ever from our May 2014 cruise on the Sunshine. Had splendid bar service from Imade (the best Bloody Mary ever) and Inyoman in the atrim bar.

 

The ship seemed to be in good repair. There is no Serenity area but we thoroughly enjoyed the aft pool area with its retractable roof. Our interior cabin was very adequate for our needs. Can't speak to spa or children's program.

 

We would certainly cruise on the Conquest again. Fort Lauderdale is a nice port and we had no problems. Hope this helps!

We cruised the Conquest on June 13, with some trepidation given the mixed reviews. However, this was one of our favorite ships. It is a great size with lots of dining options. We enjoyed all of them, including the steak house, Guy's Burgers, fish and chips, Blue Iguana cantina, sea dogs and the best pizza on any ship.

 

Our daughter and son-in-law tried some of the pay items on the room service menu, and that pizza was horrible. One loved the wings, the other not so much.

 

Our balcony cabins were in good shape. Hubby loved the gym and used the locker room for daily showers. Ladies locker room was very nice. We used the sauna and steam room a few times.

 

Staff was very attentive, from the cabin attendants to main dining room wait team.

 

Our only complaint was disembarking. But I blame that on Port Everglades. We will gladly cruise the Conquest again.

No charge to use sauna or steam room. But no hot tub in the gym. However, the gym equipment is very nice.
