The very lowest forwardmost part of the theatre is technically on Deck 3, although the entrances are on Decks 4 and 5...

I have been sorting through the Deck 4 photos and hopefully I should be able to post them on Thursday. Then I will resume the day-by-day review with Day 5.

Finally resolved various problems and relocated photos that seemed to have vanished into the ether...

 

 

I suggest getting a NAS to store you media (movies, music, photos, etc).

This way if/when your computer dies, your files are safe and sound on your own storage device.

Get a new computer, multiple computers, friends you want to share files with...No problem with a personal NAS device!

BTW - I can't tell you enough how much we are loving your review so far! We check back often for new updates, and am looking forward to further updates and your Anthem Review [emoji106]

Just found this and absolutely loving it. I'm sailing on Anthem in September and your review has really whet my appetite for the ship (though I know this is Quantum).

 

Your review doesn't read like a love letter, which is all too common now on here. It seems honest and I trust your opinions, especially on the food. It seems balanced.

 

(Just noticed you're from Helensburgh; beautiful place! We're getting married in Cove and had to register in Helensburgh!)

Thanks for the great photos! Are you done or will there be more? Did you eat at Devinly Decadence?

 

I always take pictures of my food but then never post them anyway (for which my kids give me constant grief).

 

BTW what happened to the clown in the t-shirt at Grande? Did he leave without eating there? Would have been cool to see a photo of him walking away.

Service was painfully slow. Something is wrong when it takes 45 minutes for a plated cold appetiser to arrive...

 

 

Carpaccio, no complaints but no actual cooking involved...

Risotto had some good flavour but was tepid and lacked any fresh vibrancy...

Lamb Shank – very poor. Dried out, lukewarm and tasted like it had been lying around for days...

Classic Napoleon – this was actually delicious. Too late to save the overall meal though...

we were on this cruise also just found this review but our experience at grande was just as bad we even had to ask for menus ordered drinks never came had to complain to get drinks food was not good warmed over got lots of apologies from staff but we never returned to this venue

Megacruiser did you give up on finishing the review? I've been checking back periodically for the past few months. I hope you're off having another cruise adventure or even (heaven forbid) buried in work.

Many thanks for your concern. There is light at the end of the tunnel and as I just said on the NCL board, I do hope at some point to resume my contributions here.

 

As far as this Quantum review goes, I think it will be heavily curtailed but I do have some nice photos to share, which may be of some minor interest.

Love seeing that they offer hot breakfast in the diamond lounge. Do they offer it on Anthem as well (I assume)? and do you know what the hours are for that?

There was not a hot breakfast in the Diamond Lounge on Anthem in January.
