Lady_Bayou Posted May 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2015 Looking for advice on a good waterproof camera no more than $250. I'm clueless as to what to look for.

M4dC0w Posted May 24, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) I have a pentax w80 and a Nikon Coolpix AW130, both work well. I have used both at over 60' underwater without problems. from pentax w80 at 60' Edited May 24, 2015 by M4dC0w

snc_cam Posted May 25, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 25, 2015 I was looking for a waterproof camera about a year ago. But since I don't need a "camera" for non-water, I looked into a camera mask after reading about it here. It is $120 from Liquid Image. I did get it and it works great. Have taken it on snorkeling trips in Grand Cayman, Grand Turk, Bonaire, and Aruba.
Rare mitsugirly Posted May 31, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 31, 2015 I have 2 of the Olympus Tough cameras and LOVE them...not only the underwater settings and clarity but the additional settings they have on them (like the tilt shift feature). I have the models 620 and 830...830 is of course an upgraded version (and there's many more models to chose from now) and what I do like about it is that you can be filming and hit the button and still take still pictures as well. I think the pictures come out pretty awesome (and all my reviews are done with them over the last few years) and they don't give you that ugly green water look that some camera do (like the picture posted above). :)
