ready2cruzagain Posted May 14, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2015 Have participated many times. Never once won big money. We did cash out once $3 up.
Delta Dear Posted May 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2015 Yes, and it is lots of fun. I think one was for $15.00 for 3 pulls on a $5.00 machine. We had a BALL..... I think we broke even but the fun was priceless. Go for it. That was the only money I spent in the casino.
blondietink Posted May 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2015 Did one recently. We each paid $15.00, got 5 pulls, and everybody came out ahead $1.00!

katiel53 Posted May 14, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2015 How is this Carnival related? Because they are done on Carnival ships! I have done a few of these and once we were ahead a few dollars, but decided to play off the money, so we eventually ended up with zip. One time we ended up with $11 or so. No time did we win big bucks, but it was fun cheering everyone on.

Lerin Posted May 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 14, 2015 We got about $25 once. Think we all paid $20. The fun, company and laughs were worth it.

This should be under general cruise discussions as this can pertain to any line with a casino, and they can possibly receive more pertinent information. How about this: While I'm not the OP, I'd like to know how the payout has been on a slot pull done on a Carnival ship. It's possible the slot payouts are different across the different brands, right? I don't care if someone's won big on RC, since I only cruise Carnival, and I don't want to wade through a bunch of posts for different brands, since I'm looking for something more Carnival specific. Grandmaanne7 Posted May 14, 2015 #11 Share Posted May 14, 2015 I agree that slot pulls can be a lot of fun. It's also great for getting to know your fellow CC members. I've only been in one (on a Celebrity ship) and the casino gave us lots of prizes to distribute so even though we didn't make any money on the slots, many of us came out ahead. FWIW - I don't have problem with this being on the Carnival board. It's cruise related, no matter what line. Have fun before, during and after your cruise! How about asking your own question then? In the headline mention Carnival and it's now related. Back to my point this post isn't Carnival related, and is what is cluttering these boards up. The original question was did your group win big money? They never mentioned Carnival, a ship, anything cruise line related. Also how can anyone answer your question with any certainty? It would be anecdotal at best. 20 says they won big, 30 groups lost. How does it matter when their ships may not pertain to the ship you're sailing. DirtyDawg Posted May 14, 2015 #18 Share Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) Why do you ask? This is the Cruise Question forum; are you lost? The thread was probably started on the Carnival board and then shipped off here. I for one hate slot machines. They are the dumbest why to loose your money ever invented......... OK, maybe second behind Ponzi schemes.;):p:D So OP, no I have never participated in a group slot pull.............. or a group Ponzi scheme.:D Edited May 14, 2015 by DirtyDawg

dsrdsrdsr Posted May 14, 2015 #22 Share Posted May 14, 2015 Don't let the ship's or casino's staff pick the machine you are gonna use. It makes no odds who picks the machines. They're all run on probability, and the probability favours the house. They don't put different wheels in different machines to make some of them profitable for the punter and some guaranteed losers. Uhh, when they open it up and tickle the insides.....your odds are not as good. The wheels are just show. The chips inside are where the action is. Lutèce Posted May 15, 2015 #24 Share Posted May 15, 2015 Excuse my ignorance - but what exactly are you talking about? What is a 'slot-pull'?
luddite Posted May 15, 2015 #25 Share Posted May 15, 2015 Excuse my ignorance - but what exactly are you talking about? What is a 'slot-pull'? A group pools their money into one machine. Everyone takes a turn at the machine. Winnings are divided after the last pull. Lots of cheering goes on. Generally, the one with the largest win gets a bonus.
