Breakaway Vibe Question

First let me say I did do a search for the answer to this question but the only threads I found are from back in 2013. Also please don't turn this into a debate I am just looking for an answer to a question.

Is smoking allowed at the bar in vibe on breakaway?

It's really sad that I needed to defend myself before I even asked a question but I have been reading the boards and see how these kind of questions can get all bent out of shape

Thank you in advance

Is there shade or umbrellas in Vibe? And if so, is that away from bar/smoking section? Our only disappointment with Breakaway last week were changes in H2O where only shade was at bar/smoking. So for return in November we are thinking Vibe as option.

In addition to lots of umbrellas, there are times when the chairs/loungers over by the cabanas have plenty of shade.

In February, it was the ONLY place in Vibe that you could smoke.

Actually, that is not true. We are just off the Breakaway this past Sunday, and there were plenty of people smoking at the bar in Vibe.

Have a great trip, OP!

Thank you for giving me an honest answer the poster above you figured he would lie with his response

Maybe instead of asking where the designated smoking spots are so that we don't offend anyone we should all just start ripping butts on our balconies. You can't win for losing on this caddy forum.

Come on people, she just wanted an answer to the question...aren't we taught, "it doesn't hurt to ask"??? Also, isn't there an additional charge for a cabana???

I'm not positive, but I recall someone saying the cabanas were 300.00/week.

Ugh, is there excessive smoking at the bar in Vibe? Is it like the casino? I will not pay extra, and be bothered by smoke. It is just not fair! Get with it NCL, go with the majority of people, and ban smoking for good.

Oh my gosh. People need to chill! Most of the cruise is outside and most smokers try to be respectful. Some people act like they are are being forced to sit in a closed elevator with 5 smokers for a few hours. And if they ban smoking maybe they should ban drinking too. Don't try to tell me that drinking doesn't hurt anyone else because that's just not true. I would have to bet that at least 95% of the ship is non smoking, just be happy and have another drink, then the smoke might not bother you so much.

No matter how deeply I could ever inhale/breathe there is NO WAY that I could ever be exposed to carcinogens from the guzzler next to me.

I've just been looking into the Vibe since I read about it yesterday.

I'm thinking about maybe purchasing this deal but would really need to have shade. I read that Vibe is $79 p/p for the week and cabanas/clamshells $299 for a couple with $100 towards the bar or OBC. I would hate to buy and not be able to get a lounge chair or cabana.

Thanks for letting me know that I need to stay clear of the bar. to avoid the nasty smell of smoke. ;)

I agree with Bella and having NCL ban smoking altogether.

I do have access to the thermal spa since I booked a spa balcony.
