Great Casino Offer!

I called Princess this morning and the representative said they had just pulled this promotion. :(

Since a lot of the deals were different, you probably shouldn't take my experience as the final word on the subject.

I'm still seeing the lower pricing on the Princess website so I hope that isn't the case, but it wouldn't surprise me if they discontinued it. The Princess rep I spoke to yesterday said that they were being swamped with calls about it. It sure wasn't rolled out very well though as they didn't even share the info with the Princess reps before doing it initially, and several of us didn't get any notification of it so we had to stumble on the deals accidentally.

I just did a dummy booking for my Alaska cruise and verified that the price I got last night was not the price I am getting now, so at least for my itinerary they have pulled it. If you are seeing it on a different itinerary, then it may not be completely gone.

It is still there for my Caribbean cruise but is gone for my Alaska cruise. Someone else posted two different discount schedules - one for Alaska, Europe and Japan and the other for Caribbean, Mexico, and other. These did turn out to be the exact discounts I found too. Maybe they just pulled the discounts for Alaska, Europe and Japan so far? We shall find out soon enough, but when I first noticed the strange pricing on Sunday, it wasn't on all cruises yet but was over the next couple of days. If it took them a while to implement all of the discounts, maybe it will take them a while to undo them all.

We took advantage of this deal too. Both DH and I got the offer. Ended up getting 25% off a balcony cabin on a 10 day this fall. The rep said it also came with a past passenger deal that was running at the same time which gave us transfers and free gratuities as well. What a great deal.

I called to get a price for Dec 2016 Caribbean cruise. She said ships only have a certain amount of cabins per special and some have sold out. I wanted 2 cabins but can only book one cabin with Casino special for the person email was sent out to.

DH and I get free players club offers and are both recently platium on Carnival -- we play a lot of hours at minimum bets (table games).

I'm taking my first Princess cruise with my sister, and emailed the players club... they didn't touch the fare, but offered me $250 casino cash and 'other onboard amenities' (which were not specified).

It's always worth a try... the worst they can do is say no!

Always, always, always, print the email. Even if they say you're on the list at the cage, always take the hard copy.

You might actually have an offer and like me, not know it officially because you haven't received an email or letter. Just pull up a cruise on the Princess website, select a cabin category, and then click on a cabin that is available. If you have the offer, the new price will be displayed. It is not on the summary view, you need to actually select a cabin to see the discounted price. It won't show the additional perks you might get (free gratuities or transfer), but at least you'll be able to tell if you're eligible for the offer.

The only thing I got was the option to prepay my gratuities! LOL!

We also received the casino offer, and booked an October balcony to Mexico at 25% off, plus the sale price. We were told that the offer goes til the end of the year, and can be used multiple times. Interior cabins get a 35% discount.

It did not work for our Alaska cruise tour in August, but we thought it wouldn't apply.

We always look at west coast cruises, and if you like an interior room, the savings can't be beat! There was another offer earlier this year, that was a little better, but Princess is doing a great job marketing their cruises!

Love cruising!

Yes the promo is still on as verified just now by checking even into America's May 2017 voyages. But as reported in azbirdmom's "Weird Pricing" thread it is "Capacity controlled" so could be that limits for this summer Alaska cruises are kicking in. Also they may not be as willing to cancel and rebook cruises if they are getting swamped which could translate into "pulling the promo", it needed a call over to "support" to accomplish the rebooking.

And yes the promo is tied to your account (for some reason my wife sees the discounts in the online system but not in the MyPrincess My Dream Deals "View deals"). The only way to know if you're going to get the Casino discount is if you see a lower fare when you select a specific cabin when booking (or get the email).

Weird, I got NO email about casino special pricing, but did get a postcard offering me $150 casino credits, free drinks, special tournaments in the casino and a VIP host.....we have found as we booked our next 4 cruises that the prices varies from what the norm is (that weird price thing) but nothing telling us that was the case because of casino play.
