San Juan Beach Escape

Recommended Posts

Is it worth the $53? Where does it go to? What do they not give you besides lunch? What is a cab ride by itself to the location?

For better value and location than the ship offerings.

For a great beach experience, then take a taxi, then the shuttle ferry to Palomino Island. You will miss the cruise herds

Contact the concierge at the El Conquistador Hotel and book a day pass via the Hotel. The day fee will also cover the ferry to Palomino.

Last time think it was only around $130.00 for all 4 of us.

The Hotel Concierge will assist you in every aspect.

We only have form 7 AM to 1 PM. Looks like the ride from the port can be close to an hour each way. Am I right? Does look real nice though.

Correct.

Transit time with bad traffic could be about the hour, but make note for the future:D

Just had a thought

When staying at El Convento we use the beach factilities At LC the Sister Hotel of El C

More modern, but same excellent service etc

Contact the Concierge at LC and they may have a day pass

Just a short taxi ride.

You can take a cab from the pier to any of the hotels in the Isla Verde area for around $23 for the whole cab (San Juan uses zoned rates for cabs). This is the area just north of the airport and has a fairly protected beach. Advantage of going to a hotel is that you can easily get a cab back. Count on 30 minutes each way (although obviously it can take more). Lots of restaurants in that area, including standard fast food outlets if you want that.
