When a Cruise Serves as a Floating Hotel the first night

Hi guys!

I am traveling on Celebrity Constellation this summer for a cruise, and the itinerary says the following:

Date: Venice, Italy (no time next to it)

Date 2: Venice, Italy (depart at 5:00pm)

And then at the top it says "check in between 11:30am to 4:30pm)

I am assuming the cruise serves as a floating hotel the first night? Does that mean you can also check in on the second day rather than the first if you wanted to? Or do you still have to check in on the first day?

Thanks in advance!

I assume that they mean that check in is the first day between those hours and then you are free to roam. If you want to plan to arrive day 2, I would surely call and talk to Celebrity before they think you are a no show.

Thanks! I just called them and they informed me that I would have to e-mail the emergency section of Celebrity for permission for late check in the first night.

  • 3 weeks later...
Have you decided to board day 2.

If so please report back how it goes.

Hi! No, we decided to stick with boarding on day one. However, on day one my in laws will be boarding later than usual. We let Celebrity know. The only disadv really is that they have to bring their luggage to the room
