bakersdozen12 Posted May 29, 2015 #26 Share Posted May 29, 2015 I did the same recently for the same reason! I did a Google search and came up with: Speed 2: Cruise Control (although it's a really bad movie) Going Overboard (again, a really bad movie though; it's a very old Adam Sandler movie) And lastly, although this is not about a cruise ship: World War Z. They mention the Carnival Dream in the movie, which I get a kick out of since it's the boat I'll be on in October, and it's nice to know that it will survive the zombie apocalypse, lol! AmberCascades Posted May 29, 2015 #27 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Now Voyager, with Bette Davis. I love this movie. I've dvr'd Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell but I haven't seen it in years. I think it takes place on a yacht though. Does that count at all?:)

CanadianDee Posted May 29, 2015 #29 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Thanks for the ear worms, guys. Now I have the theme song from Love Boat and that line from the Chipmunk's movie ("I swish my tail back and forth, I swish my tail back and forth") pinging in my brain. :)
Velvetwater Posted May 29, 2015 #30 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Death on the Nile Its a feature length Poirot story and I adored it before I realised I adored cruises. Gotta love some Agatha Christie!
cruzn buckeye Posted May 30, 2015 #31 Share Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) I love Planes Trains and Automobiles but dang...the ending is such a huge downer. Makes me cry every time and I'm a 38 year old man!I feel a little sad at first... but they invite him in... and he had a wonderful happy smile... John Candy was great...:D:D Edited May 30, 2015 by cruzn buckeye
MCC retired Posted May 30, 2015 #32 Share Posted May 30, 2015 Just about every movie that involves Cruise Ships will feature what cruising use to be like rather than today's reality . Was it better then ? Who knows , just more $$ then and a very different onboard experiences and features. The ship seems to be the attraction, rather than the sea, nowadays.
