ManhattanCruiser Posted April 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2004 I have traveled many times with Princess, usually as a 'single' in my own cabin, and met a friend on my last cruise for whom this was his first Princess trip. We decided to save some money on our next cruise and share a cabin. Here's the tricky thing... I (due to my Platinum status) am considered 'passenger 1' in this room, and he is 'passenger 2'. The last time I was in this situation, the person travelling with me ordered room service cocktails and soft drinks, that ended up on MY tab because I was considered 'passenger 1' in Princess' computer. That time I just decided to pay my bill and not mention it to my friend -- but this person is just a traveling companion. So, here's my question... If I go to the pursers desk and see charges that should be on my travelling companions bill, will they gladly move it over to his? I really don't want to involve HIM in this, but if he really starts tipping 'em back on the balcony, I don't want to have to be charged. Rare Coral Posted April 6, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2004 Probably. I have traveled with my mom before. She has had laundry service done. When I saw this on my bill midway - I went down to the Purser's Desk and had it switched to her account. That is too bad they don't look at the signature and charge it accordingly. I have also switched a place where I had ordered 2 excursions to my account (one for each) so I went down to the desk and switched one over to her account. Didn't have any problems. JanetMarie Posted April 6, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2004 Coral is right. Simply go to the Pursur's office immediately upon embarkation. But most of all, enjoy your cruise! dcourt Posted April 6, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2004 Last October my sister and I traveled together. She did several purchases that did show up on my bill. I went down to the Purser's desk and they immediately transfered it over to my sisters account and didn't even ask her or tell her about it. Of course I did tell her. The purser is very good about giving you an account status printout at any time so just check it a couple of times during the cruise.
