  1. The upper half of the glass retracts however the powers that be can lock your glass closed if they have bad weather, want to wash windows, or for what ever reason. We like the IV concept as it gives the illusion of a balcony when you want that and the illusion of more room space when you want that.
  2. Personally, I appreciate the efforts these posters are making to bring all of us the video information on a new ship. I recognize much will be incomplete or unresearched but I think they are providing us a valuable service. On their own dime and time as well!
  3. Just so you know, if they are shipped, they aren't delivered until about 10-14 days before your cruise. There are other threads discussing delivery time.
  4. When the Princess app prompted us to enter the credit card info for Radiqal, I simply left it blank and did not authorize it for either one of us.
  5. We had the plus package prior to ordering the medallions and had no $10 charge at all. Mike in Ohio
  6. Our Medallions arrived via US postal service about 10 days prior to our cruise.
  7. Ours arrived through the US postal service last week.
  8. Ours were received 11 days before sailing.
  9. So, each of the four MDRs have the menu of the day and each of them have a couple of specialty dishes and cocktails "unique" to that restaurant. The secret is that since they share a common kitchen, you can get even the unique menu items in any of the four restaurant on request. Mike in Ohio
  10. I know that Celebrity can close the window and lock it because that is what they do when cleaning windows. I don't know if that applies on a cabin by cabin basis. Mike in Ohio
  11. Often those who speak a different language will be seated with others speaking their language if any are onboard and the Maitr'd is aware.
  12. I was on Apex in May. The first day they give you a card in your stateroom with a suggested dining room and time "reservation". Thereafter, we booked our dinner time and venue on the Celebrity APP. It was strange, however, because the app didn't allow you to book a reservation too close to the end of your shore excursion. It didn't say that but that's what it did. Onboard phone bookings also worked efficiently. Mike in Ohio
  13. In my past submissions, I have asked for confirmation or a denial of the shareholder credit and NEVER get a response. I would not expect to hear back from them. If the benefit does not show up in my cruise planner in a week, I resubmit. Mike in Ohio
  14. and a 110V USA outlet in the bath
  15. We were on the Apex in May, party of four, and never had more than 5 minute wait for a table. Of course, with four restaurants, you can easily "shop" for the first available if there is a wait. Mike in Ohio
  16. I'm not sure that is the case... We tried to book the Chef's Table online without success and then had our TA try to book us with their Celebrity rep. Neither were successful but once onboard we spoke to a waiter promoting the specialty restaurants and he was able to book our party of four without a problem. I am confident that there are time holdbacks for the other specialty restaurants. We booked one online and the earliest table we could get was 8PM. Went in early at 7:45 and the place was almost empty and our waiter told us they had availability all evening. Mike in Ohio
  17. When recently on the Apex in the British Isles, I showed up to the internet as being in Miami Florida so the whole VPN thing might be moot. Mike in Ohio
  18. Was on the Apex in May throughout the British Isles. The WiFi was much better than I have had on other ships and even with the "basic" package, I was able to use it for VOIP phone calls and all the web browsing I wanted. Sign in was a little confusing. As an "elite" I had 90 minutes free but then I had a cruise package with "basic" included for the duration of the cruise. When I set up my account, it offered me either option. Mike in Ohio
  19. We prebooked the Tuscan Grill on the Silhouette in March. The only time we could get online was after 8PM so we took it. When we arrived, the place was almost empty and we could have gotten a table much earlier. They do hold back a significant number of bookings for onboard reservations. Check onboard.
  20. Cookies were available at the Cafe al Bacio in the afternoons on the Apex last month.
  21. We booked three weeks in advance but I went to the web site today and they have plenty of appointments available in the next few days so it appears that demand has dropped off except for we international travelers and cruisers.
  22. I have found that not all availability is posted or shown online. They hold back for those who want to book onboard. In March we couldn't get a specialty table booking online until 8:30 and when we went in the place was empty and we could easily have been seated much earlier.
  23. We are sailing this week and booked our test at https://spoedtest.nl/en/ Mike in Ohio
  24. We are not in Canada but printed out the Celebrity requirements from https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/faqs which says: Celebrity is now accepting a Certificate of Recovery. We will not accept a Certificate of Recovery in place of a vaccination record. All guests eligible to be vaccinated must also continue to show proof of full vaccination, with the final dose of their vaccine administered at least 14 days prior to sailing. A Certificate of Recovery must meet the following requirements: Be on official letterhead from a healthcare provider, public health official or telehealth provider showing: The Provider’s name The Provider’s address The Provider’s phone number Confirmation of your recovery and completion of isolation Be typed (not handwritten) and signed by the provider Must confirm the sample collection date of the positive PCR test, which must be a minimum of 11 days and a maximum of 180 days before the departure date of your cruise Date of validity must extend throughout the duration of your cruise Include a positive result document for a COVID-19 PCR test taken a minimum of 11 days and a maximum of 90 days before the departure date of your cruise. An antigen test result will not be accepted with a Certificate of Recovery. The test results document from your test provider must include the name of the lab that processed the test, the lab’s CLIA Lab Number or Certification Number, the address of the lab, your name, the date the test was taken, type of test, and your positive result. This can be a printed document, email, or telehealth app notification. Fully handwritten doctor’s notes (such as those written on a prescription pad) will not be accepted. Minimal handwritten components (such as a check mark on a “positive” box) are acceptable as long as the other required information is printed on the document. We took this information along with the positive PCR test to our family doctor's office and had the certificate of recovery the next day. Mike in Ohio
