Tuesday's Press Release ????

Recommended Posts

No they aren't. People are getting them that state they do not even gamble. How can you say they are casino offers when one does not gamble and gets the offer?

There ARE casino offers that cover this category but there are other offers as well. I personally can take the Nov 28 Journey's cruise on the Sunshine for 0.00. It is a premier casino offer. It wouldn't shock me if there were other offers as well. Carnival runs a lot of promotions. Hopefully you booked some type of early saver and your fare will come down at some point.

The best way to get an offer with discounted/free cabins is to not book way in advance. No reason to pass on an incentive to people that are already booked on a cruise. Casino offers work the same way, If I am currently booked on a future cruise I won't get a free cruise offer at the end of my current cruise. If I don't have one booked I get one... Casino hosts will corroborate that strategy.

Enjoy the vista, I am jealous and can't wait to get a chance to try that ship.

I could've booked any journey's sailing between the months of October-December for under $200 for an inside with $100 OBC. It was OH5 casino offer. Booked 3 8-nighters instead for under $2,200.....all balconies.

There used to be a way of entering your own promo code in the booking engine to bring up a promotion price.

Is there still a way to do that? i would like to price out a cruse using OH5 offer, but do not see that in my offers.

My guess is the announcement is some kind of revamp of drink packages, onboard availability of different beverages, something like that.

Personally, I just hope that they roll out whatever it is quicker than their other changes. The new menus are taking forever to roll out, as is Camp Ocean.

I am one person who thinks that a number of the changes that Carnival is making are positive moves (sorry, I don't care about live bands or steel drums by the pool). I would like to see the changes that Carnival is making roll out fleet wide. I don't like feeling that I'm missing something because of the particular ship I'm sailing hasn't received it "yet" (it will eventually though).

Had a fantastic time on the Pride in March (one of my top 3 cruises) and I am hoping to take my brother and his kids on the Pride in August 2016.

My guess is pop or soda fountains... so we can not only get water or juice or coffee... but i think there will be a charge... but soda fountains...where you pour your own... perhaps in the soda pkg. He did use the words flow and pop in a recent statement.. so there ya go.. my guess.. which is only a guess:D

As long as they are open 24/7.

I can see children running to the soda machine and then wasting it by not drinkiing all of it once the "fizz" is gone. Too many extra glasses to wash. When my kids were little I quit buying soda in the cans because they would leave half of it in the can only to be poured out. Waste of money.

Actually no, that would be less $, now they cart all the bulk of the cans many tons is my guess, with a machine all they need is bulk syrup (significantly lighter and takes up less room) with just the syrup the saved fuel and space would likely more than make up for the half drunk pops or weird concoctions

Some parents won't be happy, this also eliminates juice.

Well, there will always be some that will b&$&h but I find this pretty reasonable. You can purchase juice in single serve cartons.

You think 12 6 ounce juice boxes are last for a 7 day cruise? I know some will only do the organic juices. My days of giving my kid juice are over. Your attack was also uncalled for.

You might be right about that. I also forgot about the waste from the cans and in our state (California), there's a 5 cent charge for every can. I'm sure Carnival makes some money back on the aluminum cans and bottles. I've seen bundles and bundles of that stuff sitting on the dock ready to be taken away. It sure would eliminate a lot of recyclable waste.

Well, bottles of water/soda/juice no longer allowed.

Well, that puts an end to smuggling booze in bottles, and soda will have to be purchased on board. Another revenue boost for Carnival. It won't affect me or DH as we don't bring those things on board. Glad they still let us bring a bottle of wine though.

I hope that Carnival notices how much water they sold, before the new rule came out, at the lower price. Maybe if they offered reasonably priced sodas we would stop carrying them on also.

I want to give a big THANK YOU shout out to all the idiots and morons whom enjoy smuggling alcohol onto the ship. Without you, we would not be dealing with this new policy #Watergate

Well honestly if carnival charged a decent price for alcohol as they did with the water no one would try smuggling it on. This decision is purely logistical as checking every water bottle really slowed down check in process. But using the safety excuse works too!

Also this is happening: What is changing is the line's stance on people who are caught smuggling alcohol. In the past, the line would confiscate the drinks and return them to passengers at the end of the cruise, she said. Now, the alcohol will not be returned.

I usually have to re-up my red bull supply during a port stop. This will not be allowed anymore?

"A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, and milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought onboard on embarkation day only in guests’ carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person.

Some like their own brand, I know Carnival is usually a Coke product. Those that prefer Pepsi would not be happy if they made you only buy their brand on the ship.
