return flight 9:00 MIA?

Can we make a return flight from MIA at 9:00am?? I figured we could walk off our own luggage and immediately get a cab to the airport as soon as the ship is cleared and docked in Miami. What experience do you have with an early flight?

Thanks

You would need to be at the airport no later than 8 am (and 7:30 would be better). That means on the road from Port of Miami (having cleared customs and immigration) by 7 - 7:15. What is your backup plan if you miss the flight? Will seats on a later flight be available? Will you incur a fee? That is way too much stress for me; I would never consider it.

Plan "B" ??

Are you the only people on the ship?

Book a later flight or stay over & take the cheap flight the next day at 9am

The ship does not dock until 7am then it needs to be cleared

you must check in at the airport by 8:30 at the very latest

taxi queue at the port can be long or pre book a car service

do you feel lucky

If things are delayed, Miami is where it happens most often. No way should you attempt it. You have absolutely no wiggle room. Most regular cruisers wouldn't choose a flight before 11:30 or noon. We all have seen or experienced the port and MIA lines.

Stay an extra night or book a later flight and enjoy a slow morning on the ship before disembarking.

If you book a later flight I would make it for Noon or the next day if you do prefer the 9:00 AM flight.

I do want to note that it is an impossibility to make a 9:00 AM flight for anyone else considering it.
