Can anyone tell me where the new cabins are at on the Island Princess. I know they extended this ship but not sure where the new cabins are. I heard there were 4 at the back on the promenade deck but where are the rest?

Thanks

They did not extend the ship. 150 plus cabins added.......

The cabins take the place of the 2 level Universe Lounge and the aft 1/3 of the Promenade Deck as well as a couple of other areas aft.

So I keep reading about all the vibrations. Any ideas where the problem is. I am taking a long cruise on the Island and the last thing I want is problems and all the chatter about the upgrade to her has me worried..

That last live from thread mentions that the vibrations weren't an issue for the poster, but it is a matter of sensitivity. I've felt vibrations on every single cruise I've done but they don't bother me enough to keep me from cruising.

It's just my excuse for going to the spa for a massage ;)

I'll find out in September.

Never felt vibrations on this ship.

One key piece of info to have included would be a confirmation that you have been on Island Princess since the major dry-dock that was completed on May 21 2015. This is when some began talking about vibration.

The reports about vibrations are about the cabins at the very aft of the ship.

No news lately if the problem has been fixed when recent propulsion problems were fixed.

I hope they are fixed as we are sailing in an AFT cabin in Sept. Not the very back but close to in in C718.

We were in an AFT cabin on the very back of NCL Pride of America and we thought it was fine. Hope this will be too!

I did sail the Island Princess last Oct. No vibrations at all. In fact, one of the best cruises I've taken. Great ship, wonderful staff, clean, no waiting in lines for anything. I just hope they didn't ruin her in dry dock. There really is some chatter about vibrations, I have never experienced anything that kept me from having a great time when cruising and I don't believe this will.....

Just got off ship yesterday never been on island before our cabin was forward cabin but definite vibration felt in explorers lounge and spoke to someone staying in aft cabin and she said vibration was bad, personally I didn't like how you couldn't walk all around ship on promenade deck and nothing aft you could sit and watch wake. It looks very ugly from back in my opinion.

Disappointed with the refit - looked like they squeezed in more rooms and cut down on the open space. Was on the Island in Jun 2014. The row of space occupied by room F502 to F526, if not wrong, was carved out of the casino which itself isnt very big to begin with. :(

Yes the same cabins were added to the Coral last year as well as an IC.
