Rare TiogaCruiser Posted August 21, 2015 #51 Share Posted August 21, 2015 Question: Are the red envelopes you speak of the traditional ones you can buy, or something available on board? I was figuring on just bringing regular thank you note cards and personalising them, but if there is something else to make it a little more special available, I'd love to know about it. [/color] I believe you have a fairly large Vietnamese population in Seattle, no? You will likely find the envelopes in many of the little shops. I think I paid $1-!2 for a dozen a few years back in our Little Saigon. :)
Wendy-Europe Posted August 21, 2015 #52 Share Posted August 21, 2015 What a nice idea Wendy..:) Do you refrigerate the boxes when you are on the ship, or do they stay well while traveling.. Thank you for your suggestion. They are Ok for "regular temperatures" - I put them in my suitcase, wrapped in a few layers of shirts to protect them during travelling. On most trips I have some Milka-Chocolate for me with me - so I can use this as an indicator to check, if everything is fine :D But the boxes are stored in the shelf in the shop too. If I travel and expect very hot temperatures I switch to Haribo Gummibears;) And my cabin onboard has a moderate temperature, so no need to cool them down. donaldsc Posted August 21, 2015 #53 Share Posted August 21, 2015 The best note that you can write is one to the customer service people on board complimenting the crew member on their good service. This is the equivalent of a good work review and is very important to the crew member when good and bad work assignments are being handed out.
