Beach by Mahogany Bay - opinions and thoughts

I like to ask for those who have been to this port of Mahogany Bay. looking at videos, there is a beach , right there, within walking distance.

 

what was your opinion of this beach area? worth the time? good swimming , nice sand?

 

Just thinking maybe a simple day here at this port?

otherwise recommendations? beach I'm referring to is Mahogany beach

I have a bunch of pictures located HERE from there. It might give you a little idea of what it's like. We didn't stay there, but after we came back from our day did go over to check it out for awhile before getting back on the ship.

While Mahogany Bay is not the REAL Roatan, we find it quite nice for an easy beach day. :)

it can get very busy and very crowded... in and out of the water. If that is a deciding factor, I would book an excursion to a nicer beach with less crowds.
