wally_bushy Posted September 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2015 (edited) We recently cruised in a PH on Regatta and I asked for photos of the cabin prior to the cruise. We loved the response and heightened our anticipation as it was our first PH Our next cruise is on the Marina and is in a PH again (I know, once you've done it there is no going back:)) To all the regulars please post some photos of the PH on Marina. My DW does not know about this (cabin selection) which is even better. Steve Edited September 16, 2015 by wally_bushy
Paulchili Posted September 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I am sure that at least J&S will have some pictures. I think you will enjoy the PH on the Marina - it is much nicer than those on the R ships. Don't forget the option of in suite dining from any specialty restaurant - one of the best perks of a PH, IMO. Enjoy!
Rare cruisingxpert Posted September 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2015 "Computerworks " has a great photo tour of the Marina. His cabin is a Concierge, not a PH but the pictures of the Marina are really well done. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1980604&highlight=computerworks

I am sure they will!:) Our cruising experiences have been a gradual evolution from bunk beds, amenities down the hall, small porthole etc. The journey has been great. BTW is the full menu available from the Specialty Restaurants or is it a selection. Edited September 17, 2015 by wally_bushy

Your butler will provide it to you if it isn't in the room already. Mura

Yes - everything that is served in the specialties is available for you in your PH. Best to have meals served course by course. Enjoy.
Skipper's Mom Posted September 17, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 17, 2015 We sail on Riviera in November...cannot wait to avail ourselves of the perk of in suite dining. :D:D
blacksmith Posted September 19, 2015 #12 Share Posted September 19, 2015 We love in suite dining on occasion. My understanding is that you and your roommate may only select from one menu.

That is correct, generally speaking. Exceptions are possible (dessert?) but should not be counted on.
Mura Posted September 19, 2015 #14 Share Posted September 19, 2015 That is true. But if you are in an aft cabin you MAY be able to choose from the different restaurants. That's because the restaurants are aft and it's easier for the butler to go from one to another. But if you are forward or even midships, that's not the case. It's my recollection that they do request you to confine yourself to one restaurant ... I think the OS has an exemption to that request, and I would THINK that therefore the two aft OC sites do as well. But we didn't push it when we were in an aft OC ... Ask your butler and see what he says! Desert WOULD be easier for the butler to deal with, I think ... Mura
