Transatlantic cruise-Reflection

Quick question for any who have sailed the transatlantic...

 

How are the seas?? We have sailed many Caribbean waters...but my wife is just cautious about sailing across the atlantic.

 

Any help...advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

If we book it would be 16 day April cruise.

I've done a spring TA the last 3 years. 2 to UK on Eclipse, and this year Connie to Rome.

 

The roughest seas were leaving the caribbean. We had rough seas entering the English channel as well.

 

This year going to Rome, we were about 50 miles or so south of a huge storm, captain said 35 foot waves up there, so we followed a more southern route. One morning I woke up and the seas were mirror smooth. Not a wave, not a ripple, flat and smooth as you can imagine. it was surreal.

Come sail with us!! We are on that trip. Spring seas are usually calmer than fall, but you never know.... our Eclipse TA this past April was wonderful, didn't encounter rough seas until we got to the north of France!! Roll call thread for the April 2016 sailing is here:

We were on the Reflection TA last April. It was a fantastic cruise with smooth seas.

We're on this cruise, and sailed it this past April as well. We had very calm seas and gorgeous weather.

 

The ONLY negative are the 23 hour days.

Our experience has been that the Northern route is worse than the Southern route. Both are unpredictable.

We are also on this cruise, anyone who can predict what the seas will be next spring should start up their own Church. We did a T/A last spring and the seas were quite nice, this year???
