Has anyone had reservations with Carmel Limo to get picked up at Cape Liberty cruise port? I am trying to figure out where exactly I need to meet the car to be picked up. The lady I talked to from Carmel Limo said she doesn't know :confused: She said the driver will call me but I am travelling from Canada and don't want to get charged outrageous roaming fees by having my cell phone on. Can anyone provide any help or input?

Their cars can't wait at the terminal to pick up passengers. You really have to tell them when you're ready to be picked up as they'll be waiting a short distance away. A phone call is necessary.

Cape Liberty has numbered pick up areas. When you disembark you will have to call Carmel and they will inform you where to meet the driver.

Michelle - whenever we travel to the US we swap our SIM card. We've got unlocked cell phones, and have SIMs from http://www.roammobility.com which is a Vancouver based company specializing in Canadians travelling to the US and Mexico.

 

You can buy their SIM cards in stores across Canada (most Staples/Bureau en Gros and most stores that sell Presidents Choice products).

 

We top up these SIMs whenever we're headed to the US...it's easy enough to do, their rates are pretty good for short trips, and best of all, their prices are in Canadian dollars!

There is now a.cell phone lot opposite the drop off area...and there are still marked zones....I would suggest walking across the lot and having them wait in the cell lot....maybe you can get the car number or plate number emailed to you

Yes I booked it all through their website. Just enter your pick up info and it will give you a quote. From there you can book it.
