mustangchik33 Posted September 30, 2015 #151 Share Posted September 30, 2015 Once on the internet always on the Internet. Always watch what you post if you don't want anything you don't want seen by the public. True.... But some of the travel agent groups have a rule of no sharing and copying , I guess some people have to always take credit for somebody else's work and share it , you are right for sure
LrgPizza Posted September 30, 2015 #152 Share Posted September 30, 2015 (edited) Soooo everybody meeting strangers on a ship is safer lol I am not worried thank you forte concern I naturally assumed the concern was that your full name appeared. My bad. And yes, meeting some people on a ship, and deciding whether or not to introduce myself is quite a bit safer than posting my private information to hundreds of thousands of nameless faceless people on the internet. I'm not going to debate this though, because I only waste my energy when it's a challenge. By the way - I love your wedding pictures. Freckle53 Posted September 30, 2015 #153 Share Posted September 30, 2015 thank you for letting me know !! Thank you so much , do you know the name of the person that posted it by any chance ??? I'm not comfortable giving out someone's full name from FB but you could either ask to join the group or message the admins explaining about your picture. Rare LMaxwell Posted September 30, 2015 #154 Share Posted September 30, 2015 thank you for letting me know !! Thank you so much , do you know the name of the person that posted it by any chance ??? No, sorry, I don't know. Stuff gets posted often on that group so even from a few days ago it becomes very hard to find posts, especially on mobile. Rare LMaxwell Posted October 1, 2015 #157 Share Posted October 1, 2015 http://www.ncl.com/onboard-packages/beverage-packages There we go. As presumed. Someone posted dailies from last week's Sky cruise and it was $64 in there. When I called NCL last night for my amenity details tell agent informed me the package was good up to $15 a drink. I said I thought it went up but to $11 and she said drink prices are being raised so so is the limit on the package. Royal Caribbean pulled a highway robbery stunt this year in pricing and got away with it so I don't blame the competition for jumping in.

(just kidding) I agree. It is inexplicable that I can order alcohol beverages to my hears content, but not an 8 cent bottle of water.
Demonyte Posted October 1, 2015 #160 Share Posted October 1, 2015 (edited) Goooooooooooooooo to a different cruiseline! (just kidding) That is what we do. (not kidding) As I stated yesterday in another thread, NCL now charges the same for UBP that RCCL and Celebrity do for their premium packages and for most people UBP contains less value than RCCL's and Celebrity's classic packages that are $10pppd cheaper. SteveH2508 Posted October 1, 2015 #161 Share Posted October 1, 2015 I find it unreal that this still does not include water, coffee, and juice.... 6&8 Agreed - having utilised the drinks package properly of an evening, one's system needs proper coffee and juice the next morning - and the cycle repeats!:D:rolleyes: I am afraid to say that Princess has become a much more attractive cruising option than NCL for a lot of reasons. And includes speciality coffee, premium teas, fresh squeezed juices and bottled water! I just can't believe they just raised the price to the highest by a considerable amount AND don't even give back a little something like bottled water and speciality coffee. I'm now getting the UBP perk included in a suite that I have zero use for because I don't even drink. Yet my speciality coffee and a bottle of water every morning I will be paying for. It's not like a couple coffees and bottles of water are going to kill me but it is just absurd the UBP doesn't cover what probably amounts to a total of under $10/day worth of beverages. It's a principle thing - pay for the highest priced room on the ship and we will give you all the booze you want and even pay the tip on it but if you don't drink tough luck, your water bottle or coffee that costs a fraction of the mixed drink is not covered. Do you know if their cost of buying alcohol from vendors went up to supply the ships? Why should they give something else to the package because it went up in price? Do you demand more when the cruise fare goes up?

I think they should raise it to $70, lower the limit to $10, and remove beer.

I just can't believe they just raised the price to the highest by a considerable amount AND don't even give back a little something like bottled water and speciality coffee. They did give back a little: they raised the price limit to $15. I know this means nothing to you, because you don't drink, but this is a package designed for drinkers. No one (even on Princess or wherever else) has ever suggested that you can get your money's worth with these packages by drinking non-alcoholic beverages. It's a principle thing - pay for the highest priced room on the ship and we will give you all the booze you want and even pay the tip on it but if you don't drink tough luck, your water bottle or coffee that costs a fraction of the mixed drink is not covered. The principle is: they offered a deal, and you took it. It included one perk that is wasted on you, but I guess the rest of the deal was attractive to you, so you bought it. The principle is not: I booked the most expensive stateroom on the ship so I should get to decide what the perks are.Do you demand more when the cruise fare goes up?Evidently, they demand more even when their cruise fare doesn't go up. Try reading the Royal Caribbean board. It's brought up in every single drink package thread about coffee and water as a way to get your moneys worth. It is called Ultimate Beverage Package, not Ultimate Alcohol Package. The exclusion of water that the line can buy under 10 cents a bottle makes no sense whatsoever. Also most people like drinks with their dinner and they should of included that in the UDP since it really is part of the dining experience. Why not just give everything for free even playing in the casino and just hand people money as they walk in.

Obviously I understand that having coffee and water included in the package is better value for the customer than not having them included. It is called Ultimate Beverage Package, not Ultimate Alcohol Package. You don't have to like it, you can say it's stingy and ridiculous, but it makes sense. And it also makes sense because they need something they can add to the package when they raise the price to $70/day next year. LrgPizza Posted October 2, 2015 #173 Share Posted October 2, 2015 I don't understand the "Guests are now responsbility for the 18% gratuity" part. Weren't we always responsbility for it? Yes, guests have always been responsible for the gratuities when purchasing the package, ever since the package was first introduced. There were a few months when the package was given as a promo, and the gratuities were included. The promo changed to where you are given the package, but guests have to pay the gratuities on the price of the package. Some feel they are entitled to have the gratuities included since they once were.

Can we open a tab on the ship? I don't remember no one ever doing that on my last cruise. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

You effectively open a ship-wide tab when you put cash or a credit card onto your shipboard account. . Edited October 2, 2015 by dd2355
