Setting sail for fun Posted October 27, 2015 #51 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Really enjoying your photos and review! I hope to do a TA one day. I love the sea days. DH prefers cruises with more ports. Looking forward to following along.

papcx Posted October 27, 2015 Author #53 Share Posted October 27, 2015 (edited) Loving your review! Would love to see a lunch vs dinner menu in Sabor since that is a new add to the Allure. BonVoyage Dawna I'll see what I can do. Wasn't a fan I'm afraid. Edited October 27, 2015 by papcx
papcx Posted October 28, 2015 Author #54 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Well, 4 hours ago we decided on an early night. Norman & Joy in the Schooner bar had other ideas. B52's x 2. Duck Fart. And a fireball (to drunk to photo) and we're off to bed.

Jewelfine Posted October 28, 2015 #56 Share Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) Good numbers. Amazing numbers (10MB x 10MB) for a cruise ship, back in the day (i mean last year) if you got .5 up and .5 down you were doing great. If you can take a few pictures of the high limit area in the casino, only if you have time, that would also be amazing. hope your having a good cruise and thanks for the speed test. look forward to seeing a para-scope.... and from a cruise ship, who would have thought.... papcx Posted October 28, 2015 Author #60 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Morning all. Just had my coffee and all is well in the world. Only took 11 minutes from leaving my stateroom (deck 11) to cafè promenade, being served and back to the stateroom. Good time, maybe able to do better. Captain Jonny is on the telly with a weather update for the next few days. A little bit of a swell (5 meters) for a couple of days due to the storm to the North of us and then it will calm down and start getting warmer. This is the view from my balcony LIVE. The ship is swaying a little, but I don't think we need tablets yet. Stay tuned.
papcx Posted October 28, 2015 Author #61 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Btw. That storm to the north of us! The Anthem is having to go right through it apparently. Rather them than us.

I got 5 down 1 up this morning more motion and further out. Also pretty much all the English tv is out. I am using a USB to HDMI cable to watch shows using the dish app on my phone. It works pretty well I can see the speed on the screen while we are watching usually above 2mb if it drops below one it will usually pause. I am willing to bet if they track usage I will be in the top 5% The movies on tbe tv are 12.00 each
fredflint Posted October 28, 2015 #65 Share Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) Just wanted to mention the guest lecturer is very good but there only seems to be one for the whole cruise. Also in the bow and stern tavern just had the rudest bartender ever. I don't have the drink package but wanted a coke go up to the bar and no greeting hello nothing. I ask for a coke and he says do you have a pacage and I say no, some people think with a package you get treated worse nope all bad. Inviato dal mio SM-J100H utilizzando Tapatalk Loving your review. We will be on Allure in January. Regarding seasickness pills, I was on the Majesty of the Seas during Hurricane Sandy a few years ago. They made pills available at the "clinic" area in the ship. I would imagine you can get them there, however, I don't know if they charge or ration them when there are no extenuating circumstances. Rare little britain Posted October 29, 2015 #74 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Thursday 8am. Very impressed with the internet so far. $15pd is a good cost too. $110 for 5 specialty restaurants is another good deal. Fabulous performance last night by Adele tribute act. I thought she was better than the real one! Weather still not outstanding, Bridge tour showed it gets better in a few days. Anthem sailing through the the heart of the storm and should get 60ft waves [emoji305]. Sent from my iPhone 6s using Tapatalk
Biker19 Posted October 29, 2015 #75 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Periscope recording of 70s disco party. The village people do make it look a little like a specialist cruise! Did you ever wonder how they got so good at it? The CD staff do that on virtually all sailings for years - nothing specialist about it. Biker, who wonders how much the CD's staff spend in Miami training for that 70s disco party.
