Sorry, no Tea in Horizons on embarkation days, and the only luncheon option is the Terrace Restaurant.

Even Room Service does not kick in until after the ship sails.

I on't remember waves being open until the next day. Just Terrace

Last time we sailed, Waves was open for lunch before we sailed.

We were on the Riviera last month and Waves was open for lunch --- happily. And it was delicious!

Everyone, thanks for your replies. We will be on Riviera so it appears Waves will be open in addition to the Terrace.

 

I didn't expect they would offer afternoon tea on embarkation day so I'm not disappointed. We will have to make a point of partaking in that event at least once on our upcoming cruise.

We loved eating lunch at Waves on embarkation day last July...I love their hot dogs and burgers...and there was plenty of empty seats..

Waves has been open for lunch on embarkation day for years. I can remember being introduced to the surf and turf sandwich by FDR, who was on board before embarkation, and who invented the filet and lobster tail sandwich. He "ordered" me to try it (he would call it a suggestion). When it was delivered, the lobster tail was still in the shell, sitting beside the sandwich. He grabbed the plate and carried it back to the grill at Waves, and taught them how to make it properly.

 

It's been popular ever since, and Waves is still open on embarkation day.
