Onboard bookings-next cruise

It's been decided that in February 2017, my family and I, upwards of 30-35 people will be cruising on the Oasis! In January, several of us will be on either Brilliance or Grandeur. When we're on our upcoming cruises, we want to book the 2017 cruise. I know that you can book up to 3 additional rooms for friends and family. For the family members going on Brilliance, I'm going to have a sheet typed up so that all they have to do is sit down with the Next Cruise specialist and give them the paper and credit card. All the info they will need to book the rooms will be listed.

 

What I need to know is:

1. What are the deposit prices for the different categories of rooms?

2. If both me and my mom book 2 separate rooms, can we each take the obc for the cruise we are currently on?

3. How many reservations can I have linked to mine?

4. Am I crazy for trying to coordinate all of this? :p

This is the schedule for both OBC and deposit:

 

•5-7 night cruises

◦Interior/Oceanview: $50

◦Balcony/Junior Suite: $100

◦Grand Suite and above: $200

 

•8-10 night cruises

◦Interior/Oceanview: $100

◦Balcony/Junior Suite: $150

◦Grand Suite and above: $300

 

•11-14 night cruises

◦Interior/Oceanview: $150

◦Balcony/Junior Suite: $200

◦Grand Suite and above: $400

 

•15 nights or longer cruises

◦Interior/Oceanview: $200

◦Balcony/Junior Suite: $250

◦Grand Suite and above: $500

 

Note that these numbers are per stateroom.

Yes you can. When not having the OBC applied to the newly booked cruise, your deposit now becomes non-refundable. However, there is no restriction to changing dates/ships.

Thank you! I know you can't book multiple cruises and take all the obc at once but wasn't sure how it works when multiple people in the same room book separate rooms on an upcoming cruise. We'll be using our obc in a few of the specialty restaurants.

I have a similar question, my DH and I are cruising a week from tomorrow, we are thinking about an Alaska cruise in July/August 2017, should we do this onboard booking while on our cruise?

 

What exactly do you get when you book while on a cruise? (we have never done it)

 

Also is it refundable, since we don't know what cruiseline we want to sail yet to Alaska.

If you book while on a cruise, you get a reduced deposit and get obc equivalent to that of your deposit for either the current cruise or the future cruise, though I have heard they reduce the obc if you make changes to the future cruise. If you take the obc now, the deposit is non-refundable. If you take the obc on the future cruise, the deposit is refundable.

The numbers I posted were per stateroom, not per person.

 

These numbers apply to booking a specific cruise, so I don't understand the time frame question.

I'm sailing in November but already have a booking for May 2016 (booked through travel agent).....should I cancel then rebook while onboard for reduced deposit & OBC?? We want those specific rooms due to the need for connecting staterooms and low availability.

I would wait until you are on board to cancel, as the price may change more than any OBC you might get. Also check if your travel agent has any cancel fees.

Since Alaska for 2017 isn't out yet to book you will just have to book any cruise and then change your reservation once Alaska opens up. Just be sure to take the instant OBC because if you take the future OBC then it may be reduced when you change your reservation.
