RCCL Website Down

I have been trying to get on to the RCCL website for 24+ hours and it says it is on vacation. Does this happen often? Does anyone knw why it is out or when it will come back?

Darn....I thought there was a chance they had let their whole IT department go.

They also do IT maintenance on Saturday night, so even if the website comes up, you may not be able to get into your reservations until tomorrow.

ok, I don't want to hijack this thread but ... I realize that routine web site maintenance is needed, but I also expect that RCI have data on "hits" to their web site, and can schedule their maintenance to the lower volume periods .... so .... Saturday nights are the slow periods? I would have thought a weekday night might be slower ... :rolleyes:

I doubt a midweek night would be slower. RCI is a world wide operating and Marketing Company. So any midweek Website maintenance would block out some time zones around the world during their regular Business hours. I doubt it woud be a good idea to shut down the Website / booking engine during i.e. Australian or European Business hours.
