Update on our connecting cabin issue

A big thank you to Bonnie and to Richard Twyman for helping us with this where our TA was useless.

 

The issue with our original room is that it will not be finished after the refurb. We would have accepted this as an explanation but were told it had been sold to someone else by our TA. A very nice lady rang us from Azamara UK and explained in full. We were offered a restricted view or the connecting cabin so we have stuck with the connecting one and hope we have quiet neighbours. Our earplugs will travel with us!

In the UK we are very fortunate that Richard Twynam is happy to intercede when we have issues that sometimes TA's are unable to solve.

 

He has assisted me on a couple of occasions in a timely and friendly way.

Margaret, sorry that ultimately they are unable to help you, but glad you at least have an explanation. As I said to you on the other thread I'd prefer to be under the casino than the Cabaret Lounge. You'll get less noise from above. I keep fingers crossed that you also have quiet neighbours! Have a great cruise.:cool:

Making an effort to get to know your connecting neighbors will make it easier to later soften any voices you may hear from next door--if it should become an issue.

Both Bonnie and Richard Twynam are very helpful, glad they managed to get you an explanation. Sounds as if you're TA was plucking an explanation from thin air!

We will certainly say hello to our neighbours, as you say, just in case we have an issue. And yes, TA not on the ball. We have never used them before and may not again! Our usual TA does not deal with Azamara.

Although we have only cruised with Azamara once we found the majority of the people charming and civilised.

Hopefully you will met two lovely people who are equally worried about having a connecting cabin.
