Super Bowl on Silhouette?

We're boarding Silhouette on Super Bowl Sunday. Game time 6:30 pm EDT, well after sailaway. Departure at 4:30 pm.

 

Does Celebrity usually have viewing locations for (American) football? Any suggestions? Is there anything that resembles a sports bar?

I have sailed during the Playoffs and The Super Bowl before. It was on

not on Sihlouette but I know they do have a set up for it. I was on

Summit and the put a GIANT screen in the main theater....they had

all kinds of food/drinks/etc....they had decorations for both teams

and they had a smaller set up inside the casino too. They had "the

squares game" as well.....So, after you board the ship, I would look

in your daily or speak with Guest Relations.....but in many years of

cruising during the Playoffs, they are always shown and for the Super

Bowl? They will definitely show it:)...you just need to find out what

they are going to do for it.

Sailing on SUPERBOWL SUNDAY is fun:)

Last year the Infinity showed the Super Bowl in the main theater. It was great, but keep in mind that you won't be seeing all the cool TV commercials -- only lame ESPN ads.

Just off the Reflection TA, and the TV set up has 2 ESPN channels which showed a lot of American Football. They didnt show the World Series which was on at the time though.

We will be boarding on Super Bowl Sunday in 2017. I thought I may have made a mistake but after reading your post we are really looking forward to it. It sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks for easing my mind.

The game will be on but it could be in a smaller conference room. You could also watch it at a bar by the Casino or even in your room. It did not seem like it was in High Definition.

I think you will only get HD quality on the in-stateroom movies and recorded material.

 

The quality of the live feeds was ok, but nowhere near HD

Since I will not be bringing my HD set with me, just as long as the game is available, it will not be an issue - overall, the type of quality.

 

The availability to see the game is the main factor at this point and that is great!

We were on the Silhouette in 2007. We received cute invitations to watch the Super bowl on a big screen in the main theater.

It was divided down the middle and each side was decorated in the team colors.

They had great food. It was lots of fun except for the outcome. lol
