Getting off the ship in port

If we are not tendering, how much time do you think it would take for us to get off the ship while in port? I realize those with shore excursions would be first but I haven't cruised in such a long time I don't remember how long it takes and what the procedure is. I need to set up a time for my shore excursion which is not through Princess. Thank you.

As soon as the announcement is heard that the ship is cleared and passengers can go ashore you can go down to the gangplank and exit. There could be a line of passengers having their cruise cards scanned, but it doesn't take long. At some ports there is more than one gangplank. Excursions are not really an issue when the ship is docked. When the ship docks many times ship's tours meet on shore at a specific time.
